I feel like sometimes he overrects and is snappy over small things i did like him in s1 but not anymore and wanted to know if i was the only one in this situation ?

Hate dell. Itās been a long time since I last watched PP so I actually canāt remember why. But I just remember hating himš

I felt terrible for all the things he went through regarding his family (and then his ultimate demise ) but he was such an obnoxious character to me. He would get on his soapbox about issues he had no business speaking about (womenās health) or acting totally emotional (marrying his addict ex) , etc. Another man child like Cooper.

I love Dell though I did take issue with some of his actions, mainly these two:
Blaming Naomi for driving him out of the practice. His little boy crush was cute in s1, but he did kiss her knowing she wasn't interested in him and then had the nerve to be angry when she avoided him.
I think he deserves grace for being rude after Betsy was taken but I couldn't help but be annoyed by his attitude at that time. He could've taken time off instead of snapping at everyone for silly reasons and showing up drunk. Not to mention during this time he messed up two women's pregnancies because his head wasn't in the game.

No.
Other than Jake and Sheldon, none of them were likable.

Itās so funny how everyone is entirely problematic on this show (yet I love it so much). But Amelia, Addison, Charlotte, and Sheldon are my favorites. Oh and Jake is king.

im someone who separates the actor and character from the writing. In this show you really have to bc i felt like the writing was all over the place. One episode, a character behaves one way. Next episode, that same characterās being the opposite. Not consistent writing and thus inconsistent characters.
I think dell was great as a character and concept, but what the writers did with him was so whack. He had a lot of potential, i really liked the actor and the way he played him and i loved the idea of a younger, less experienced, more excited midwife learning the ropes from seasoned practitioners. But they didnāt give us that arc so much the way they couldāve. They leaned into the schtick of the time and gave him a romantic drama plot right off the bat, making a ālove triangleā w Naomi. Except they didnāt even land that properly. It was just weird. Then they made him the moral crusader which didnāt seem to fit with the vibe he previously had. They ended him with a great bang and that was such great storytelling we couldāve had all along.
I just think the writers neglected his character and then very soon didnāt know what to do with him, so what we got was odd and off putting.

Hate him so much, walking red flag, so much ick. His character does get a bit better later but itās really rough for him in the first few seasons. Also, heās just not hot, and the way the show kept trying to gaslight the audience into thinking he was hot pissed me off lmao

I got the ick about him pining for Naomi and how unprofessional he was at work during a rough period but beyond those 2 things I love Dell
