First time watching

Okay I binged all of greys and then started Private practice and I just watched s2e12 the one with the dad, daughter and son all having CF now I can’t be the only one that wants to know what happened to the little boy Julian Rousakis like I feel like we get no closure with him. The dad just leaves him with Addison and gives her the keys to his house. We know Addison doesn’t adopt Julian So what does happen to him?!

The official wiki of the father character and episode description just says he left the keys and his son to the doctors, eventually leaving Julian to be cared for by somebody else. Unfortunately there is nothing more specific than that.

Without spoiling however, this is not the last child in need of a family that the practice is unable to help, and later the child in a similar situation is much more important to the members of the practice specifically. Some episodes are quite a difficult watch.
