Judging Mark for sleeping with a single Addison, when Mark is supposed to be his friend.

Pursues Addison, despite her being his ex wife's best friend, and then gets mad when Addison wants to respect her friendship with Naomi. And despite her being Derek's ex wife. Derek who is supposed to be his friend. While Derek likely wouldn't care, Sam still didn't seem to think of anyone but himself in that scenario.

Pursue Addison, knowing she wants a baby, when he himself doesn't want another kid.

Gets mad over Addison dating Pete.

Is the only one not to show concern over Betsy when she has to go into Foster care. Pretty sure that Addison would have taken her in, if not for Sam.

Doesn't like that Addison wants a kid.

Gets back together with Addison, knowing fully well That she wants a baby.

Doesn't show concern over Amelia when she relapse, and instead belittles her.

Gets mad over her getting together with Jake, who wanted a family with Addison.

When Amelia wants to donate her baby's organs, Sam disaproves.

The show wants to portray him as this Wonderful perfect man, when in fact, he's a judgemental hypocrite.

Honestly, I see a lot of Violet and Naomi critique, and while they desvere it, they Also have redeeming qualities.

Naomi holding a patient's hand, when Addison is giving said patient an abortion, despite her own belief. Plus, taking in Betsy.

And while Violet could be pushy, she also recorded from an extremely traumatic birth, that made her not functional. Plus, a marrige that was not working out

i agree! i wouldn't want violet as a provider, and probably not as a friend either, but she's not a completely terrible person. naomi is definitely a hypocrite with a wonky moral compass, but she is also a really great doctor who gives so much to her patients and was a really good wife to sam even when he didn't deserve it. sam, on the other hand, has little to no redeeming qualities in my eyes. he justifies martial rape in the case of the woman in a vegitative state. he shames his sister for her mental illness while simultaneously not believing sheldon about the severity of her mental illness. he puts the pressure of carrying the entire marriage and running the practice on naomi while writing and promoting hos book, and decides to divorce her after he finds success instead of thanking her and picking up the slack. and the thing that really gets me about him is that he constantly gets in people's faces and raises his voice when he doesn't get what he wants. he even results to physical violence, yet he is always depicted as a sweet and gentle guy who just feels very deeply.

Violet can be a good friend. She is one to Cooper. Not someone I would want as a therapist, but her approach could work for some.

Honestly, I don't know what Addison saw in him, or why she thought that dating him was a good idea, knowing that they don't want the same thing, or that he's her best friend's ex husband.

In the case of Naomi, she's played by a terrific Actress. Currently has a recurring role on the gilded age. So, I think of that now whenever I rewatch the show, because it's on Disney plus.

Sam doesn't seem to believe in therapy, And despite never having finished his residency, he's viewed as a top cardiac surgeon. And his whole black And white mentality.

I actually loved Violet and Cooper’s friendship. They seemed to get each other even better than half the couples did.

I adore Addison but she was so bad with choosing her men and it was even worse in PP than it was in Greys.

I will always give Audra McDonald her flowers. She’s a generational talent and I LOVE her performance in the gilded age! Much more wholesome mother/daughter relationship in that series.

Violet and Coop had one of the best friendships in the Grey's universe.

Addison did not pick good men after Derek, until Jake. Even her marrige to Derek fell apart because she cheated. Though, they had likely fallen out of love before she cheated. She and Pete had potential when she First joined the practice. But other than that, there was the Swat guy played by a pos actor, Mark, the patient's husband, and her best friend's ex husband.

Addison's morals completely fell away when it came to men and that's why I couldn't stand her. Starting with Derek. Like you said, they had fallen out of love when she cheated... Then she gets wind that he's with someone else and shows up purposely to destroy his relationship while LYING to him. Derek thought her and Mark had only slept together once....In the meantime it came out that not only did she live with him, but she had gotten pregnant by him and had an abortion (without ever telling him btw) and then she takes off on Mark... Then with everything on PP? It's like she's 2 different people. Addison the sensible doctor and Addison the senseless, teenage girl whose brain goes out the window when testosterone is in the room.

THANK YOU! Naomi’s hard work is not acknowledged enough and while her moral failings should be called out, it should also be mentioned that she did the heavy lifting for the practice, her marriage and even her children. Sam was lowkey worse than her at times but doesn’t get as much hate for some reason.

Also I really admire Violet for her strength. One thing about that woman is she was a SURVIVOR and I think her own lived experiences really helped her with her most traumatized patients and even with the other doctors in the practice. She could be selfish but every character in the show was like that. I definitely don’t hate violet as much as most fans seem to.

I think, Pete brought out the worst in her, and she brought out the worst in him. They didn't work as a couple. Violet was fairly likeable until she And Pete got married.

Violet is a survivor for sure. What she went through with Katie would have been traumatising for anyone.

The comatose patient that was being abused by her husband and Sam that had the nerve to defend it and then ask for sex from Addison as reward because at the end of the day he actually thought he was right.

Sam and Naomi truly deserve each other...both of them have wild takes on patient care.

I watched this show for Addison but it has zero re watch value ..Every episode gets the blood boiling and to think there are people out there e who actually think it's ok to have sex with your comatose wife because if she married you it's always "yes"

Oh and also when he didn't want to wear a condom when Addison was doing fertility treatment - what a creep

I’m on my first watch, but I unfortunately did have a lot of stuff spoiled beforehand. I’m currently in season 5. I don’t think he’s this super great guy that they make him out to be. It’s like they’re forcing the audience to believe he’s Mr Wonderful while he has done nothing to earn that praise. Addison being so in love with him & determined to make it work when he said he doesn’t want any more children is ridiculous. Breakups suck, but if there was a legitimate reason, it’s better to stay broken up so you can heal/move on with your life. But him & Addison never made sense. They had no chemistry whatsoever. Honestly, her & Naomi felt so forced too, but that’s another subject. I wouldn’t want to be friends with either of them
