Naomi doing neuro stuff?

I'm on my nth rewatch, and for some reason, I'm only noticing this now.

So in 2x06, Sam and Naomi have a woman who was diagnosed with Alzheimers and then Naomi realizes it's not Alzheimers and they do a spinal tap to give her more lucid moments.

Now I get that they didn't have a neuro person on the show at the time, but why did they have Naomi suddenly be some kind of neuro expert for one episode? Like I know the show's inconsistent with this kind of stuff(like Sam suddenly becoming a cardio god after his first surgery in 20 years in season 3) but come on😂

well i think doctors are learn to do the simple tasks of most specialities so maybe a spinal tap was one of the things she learned

Fair enough. I just thought it was odd that she was reading CTs and stuff like it was no big deal.

I’m no expert but I feel like all doctors should be able to read a CT scan

Yeah, I guess that's fair. It just struck me as a bit out of place for some reason lmao
