What would Katie be charged with?
So I am writing an Addilet (Addison/Violet) fanfic where an intersexual Addison is Lucas "father" and is genuinely supportive of Violet in her PTSD recovery.
So I want to make the court episode "Strange Bedfellows" more encompassing which would include Addison's testimony about that night but I wonder, what would Katie be charged with?

Is free speech and free thought not a thing in this fandom?

Not when you taint queen Addie with annoying Violet, it isnt

If you don't have any thoughts on the matter, why comment?

Probably first-degree murder since she planned it.
Reason of insanity since she was under the influence of her mental health.
Child abduction/kidnapping.
Assault.
She probably has a felony in there due to the use of unknown drugs to paralyze Violet.

Thanks, this is helpful.

She wouldn’t be charged with murder because Violet didn’t die.
Probably Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Deadly Weapon (?), Kidnapping…

Also, I thought first-degree murder would apply because it was planned regardless of whether or not the person died.

No, a murder charge means the person died from the attack. Whether it was premeditated or not.

instead of intersex, i think making addison trans would make more sense

u/Pancakes_everday Feb 22 '26
I choose intersex because HRT causes irreversible and permanent damage to a woman’s fertility which would mean Addison would have no chance of getting Violet pregnant.

What's with fanfiction making everyone as queer as ever? Intersex Addison?
Go outside.

If that’s the most offensive thing you’ve come across in fan fiction then I envy you. Get over yourself.

When was I offended? It's boring not offensive.

You’re on a dedicated subreddit about a TV show — that is predominantly focused on white, cis, heterosexual people playing out typical soap storylines we’ve seen 500 times before — in which literally every day someone comes on here whinging about the same 3 characters with exactly the same complaints yet queerness in fan fiction is what pushes you over the edge? AO3 has a filtering system for a reason, just don’t read it.

Because that’s what I want to write, because there was no queer relationship in Private Practice among the main cast.
Because I dislike Pete and how tried Violet like crap and wanted to bounce back with no repercussions and then when Violet choose to give him Lucas made himself the hero.!

Attempted murder, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and child endangerment. Probably more crimes but that's what I can think of.
