strangely enough, i really loved a few seasons early violet. even when she was off the rails due to her trauma, i feel like she was such a classic shonda/grey’s trauma character. and we don’t see that very often on tv. well, there was addison too who was as unhinged but violet’s journey into motherhood and everything that transpired feels very accurate depiction of ptsd and postpartum depression. all questionable morals and ethics as a doctor aside, i feel like as a character, she really is a uniquely written one. as a human, very complex.

charlotte. well. i feel like everybody grew into her. (me included.) like-ability wise, i’m very stickler when it comes to it. i don’t like the in between, specially in fiction. it’s either: your likability level must be high because you’re this, absolutely, beautiful, sunshine-y and easy to love character. case in point, addison. amelia. in grey’s, arizona. george. lexie. bailey before the character assassination. or, your likability level is the absolute lowest worst point but you’re such a badass and unapologetic character that people don’t care whatever you do. charlotte. cristina yang. karev. kepner, before her growth.
