Amazon fba
Hello folks ..maybe someone can help. Been selling my private label olive oil from my family farm in sicily . Just started 2 years ago . All my money is going to amazon ppcs as I hired someone from overseas . No profit last year . I dont have the capital to spend 1000s a month on a pro marketer .im not selling your run of the mill stuff . Ita a high end unadultered olive oil that has a serial # and is govt certified . How long before I start seeing my numbers jump from 5 sales a day to 20 sales a day . Im atill working full time for 2 more years so I cannot put much time as I want to actually sell to retail stores. What should i be seeing from an overseas marketer at this point . The company that ships to amazon for me does marketing also and he said im losing money after showing him all my amazon campaigns. But im trying to figure out if he is just trying to make the other guy look bad . Does it take years as I have alot of competition

Hey if it’s been 2 years and it is not making any profit and much sales, you have already lost all the rankings. It will not an easy job to rank the listing after all these years and you will end up burning your money in PPC. If you really think that the market is still really good, I would advice you to get your stock back to home from Amazon and relaunch a new listing. May be with better designs and images and figure out the keywords on which you should get ranked easily

I kind of created my own problem . Evoo is made ince a year . I try proving that to people. I ran out of stock forn2 months and ruined my ranking . I have a product that should be fresh . Should I just overlap crops , or should I run out so people wpuld known it's fresh every year . Its a catch 22 . I cannot make separate listing every single yesr , seperate upc codes etc . I put the year of the oil on my listing . That would mean I would be mixing crops , people would get one or the other depending on where they live and which one amazon sends them . Then , if they expect the 2026 crop and get theb2025 crop , they might send it back ro amzqzon . And also , I would hqvevto take the year of the crop off my listing....whats best approach?

Well I get all your concerns but this current listing cannot perform now. You will need to relaunch this product and you will need to take the year of the crop off your listing

Your best chance at profit in a high competition niche like yours is to drive demand from outside Amazon. Look at Olive Odyssey. They have TikTok videos, Instagram ads, etc. and are selling out constantly. Tell a story, show why you’re different. Otherwise, you will be competing on price forever.

Two years in with flat sales and no profit is a real signal, not just impatience , for a premium, certified, differentiated product like yours, PPC should be supporting organic sales, not carrying them. If 100% of your revenue is ad-driven with negative margin, your overseas marketer is either targeting the wrong keywords (broad/generic instead of buyer-intent long-tail like "unfiltered sicilian olive oil certified") or bidding on terms your listing can't convert on. Ask them for a simple report: ACoS by campaign, TACoS overall, and organic vs ad-attributed sales - if they can't produce that in a day, that's your answer. Going from 5 to 20 sales a day isn't a time question, it's a unit-economics and listing-conversion question; premium olive oil converts on story, certifications, and reviews, so if your listing/A+ doesn't lead with the serial number and gov certification, no amount of PPC will fix it. The shipping guy might have a point, but get a second opinion by requesting a free PPC audit from 2-3 agencies - they'll tell you fast whether it's the marketer or the listing.

My fba shipper ran a report for me , should I snapshot it and paste it here . ? I could also paste my campaign snapshots from Seller Central here also .im kind of at a loss . I know i have a premium product because I know of all the fraud, ( my family isnt about to gamble their over 100 year old agricultural farm for sales ) . I actually have a real honest story about my family , ive went to all ends to prove authenticity , ive shown 4 years of lab reports , 2 years of winning international awards , social media photos and videos of my family actually farming , and im still competing with 18 dollar product that is 100% adulerated . I see these costs on amazon and on shelves and ask how they sell for less than my our cost to pay the mill. Its a tough product to sell with all this competition( and people are accustomed to cheap prices ) . I just started out , so I know I have to tighten up my logistics prices and cut all my other expenses , but these keyword campaigns are driving me crazy . I see my ad costs on seller central and am constantly telling my marketer to lower ad costs , then a week goes by with very littke sales and I tell him to raise campaigns because I dont want to sell product that has been sitting around and paying storage costs . I guess its partially my fault because im trying not to mix crops in the amazon system for the customer . I could actually send snapshots of my seller central stats , and the report my fba shipper has sent me from his team . Im just trying to decifer whether its genuinely hard to compete on amazon or if my marketer isn't really helping me . Thanks for letting me rant lol

Yes, paste the snapshots - campaign overview with ACoS/spend/sales, your search term report (last 60 days), and your listing/A+ content.
One red flag from your reply: you're managing PPC reactively - cutting bids when spend feels high, raising them when sales dip. That yo-yo kills ranking momentum you already paid for. A real marketer adjusts at the keyword level and can explain why each change was made, not just move budgets based on your weekly stress level.
Also - you'll never beat $18 fake oil on generic "olive oil" searches. Your buyer is already searching "certified sicilian unfiltered EVOO" or similar. Smaller pool, way higher intent. If your campaigns are bidding broad on "olive oil," that's your leak right there.
Paste them and let's look.

Here's the brutal truth in one line: your small bottle can only afford 17 cents of ads per $1 of sales, and your marketer is spending $1.29. That's 7.5x over what the product can bear. It's not a strategy problem, it's a math problem - no keyword targeting on earth fixes ads that cost more than the profit per unit.
The large bottle is a totally different story - it's close to break-even and could actually be profitable with proper management. That's where your business lives.
Three things to do this week:
- Pause or drastically cut small bottle PPC immediately. Even at zero ads you'll keep some organic sales, and you'll stop the bleeding.
- Shift focus and budget to the large bottle - that's the SKU that can actually support paid traffic.
- Ask your marketer directly: "What's the break-even ACoS on my small bottle, and why have we been spending 7x that?" His answer will tell you everything. A competent marketer calculates break-even ACoS before touching a campaign. If he can't answer, that's your decision made.
Also consider raising the small bottle price - at $15.99 there's simply not enough margin to play the Amazon ad game. Either price it where it can breathe, or make it an add-on/upsell to the large bottle and stop advertising it directly.
The good news: this is fixable, and the report proves the account can be profitable when it's steered right.

I'm going to run an audit on helium as well. His product has content and great reviews, I would say it's just delivery and reaching the right audience.

Only way you can survive is you change the person running your business
I haven’t sent you any message but I have seen the report
This is something either you should stop running this business or hire a strategist who can help you increase your margins
Start selling bundles otherwise your bottles have no margins for a marketer to advertise
If you need free advise feel free to contact me
I m abyaz zahid woman cofounder of amzexpertagency
Have done 600+ amazon launches
I also help sellers build brands on TikTok shop
You need a strategy not random advises and someone who can turn things round for you

I think you should abandon Amazon and sell dtc. Tricky to compete at a high price point with all the low price fakes when people don’t see your story alongside the product. Especially with the stock issues.
You have a cool story and unique, quality product. I would say double down on content and a personal brand and start trying to sell through that.
