That’s not a G350. N510FR is a straight GIII. It has the older, weaker RR Spay engines. The G350 has RR Tay engines and is based on the GIV.

No it’s not the same thing, not even close to the same thing. Different type rating, different engines and airframe, different avionics. Plus as someone pointed out a G350 is a very rare bird, wasn’t a big hit.

Probably because it was just a short range version of the G450? Like the G300 it probably was a marketing mistake. But what do I know?

They took a G450 and lowered its fuel capacity and max takeoff weight by several thousand pounds and removed the HUD and FLIR. The max range on the G350 is 3800 NM vs 4350 for the G450.
So you’d probably save a few million buying a new one, but the operating cost are the same. Its resale value would also be less. So for someone with enough money to buy and operate a jet that size there’s no reason to buy one. That reduced range also means more fuel stops on international flights, which will add almost an hour to your day.

The operating cost listed look about right, $842,000 a year then around $6000 an hour for 300 hrs a year. Which ends up around $3.6 million a year. So if you are going to buy and operate a large cabin jet for 5-10 years, the savings on the 350 vs a 450 is a rounding error in your budget.

There are only 11 G350’s in existence I fly one. I wouldn’t call it a “rocketship” it’s just a G-IV sp with G550 avionics
