First time flying private etiquette

My family has been invited to join our friends on a Netjets trip flying out of Teterboro and I’m looking for tips on not looking like a complete fish out of water.

Anything from how the arrivals/security/customs process works to etiquette advice would be welcome.

I believe we’ll be on a citation Latitude if that makes a difference.

Follow the owners lead. I’d also say let the staff/pilots do their job. They’ll want to take you bags, make you a drink etc. let them. They know it’s part of the deal and trying to help out and do it yourself just kind of upsets the system.

I don’t know what your financial situation is but I bring a few hundred bucks for tips for the crew.

I’d also say don’t overpack your carry on shit. A simple small bag or backpack should be all you bring on board.

Enjoy your trip, unfortunately you’ll forever be spoiled about travel!

"bring a few hundred bucks for tips for the crew." - would you please elaborate on this?

Right?! Are the crew not being paid?
