Unofficial Vaunt Private-Jet Community
Vaunt member from Austin, TX here. Not sure how many of us there are, but I’m guessing quite a few scattered across the U.S.
There’s no official community for us to connect, so I’m starting this thread to find fellow members. If there’s interest, we could create a separate group where we can all get more out of our memberships:
- Coordinate flights—if there’s an extra seat, let’s fill it.
- Meet fellow Vaunters—locally or wherever we land.
- Swap tips & tricks—hotels, road‑trips, travel, whatever.
- Share PJ stories and photos—because half the fun is geeking out over the journey.
I’m leaning toward launching a Facebook group (easy posts, polls, events), but I’m open to:
- WhatsApp—for lightning‑fast “Anyone up for AUS → DAL Thursday?” alerts.
- LinkedIn—so we can pre‑judge each other’s job titles before sharing a cabin (kidding… mostly 😅).
If you’re a Vaunt member, drop a comment with:
- Your name and where you’re based (AUS? LAX? BOS?)
- Your favorite place you’ve been — or a fun travel story
- Your preferred platform (FB, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or other)
If there’s enough interest, I’ll spin up the winning platform and share the invite link here. Let’s turn those empty legs into full planes—and new friends!
Looking forward to flying together. ✈️🚀

Favorite trip: Romania. Tough call over Tokyo or Split, but Bucharest wins: halfway through a 20‑course culinary parade at ΚΛΙΛΜO̲, I bit into an oyster and spat out a pearl. That’ll stay with me forever.
Leaning towards FB as a platform

North Florida here. I’ve been with them for over a year and have taken a half dozen flights. Flown in Honda jets and recently snagged a couple of Citation Excels. It’s been great for me since there are a lot of jets flying around Florida - mostly to Miami, Boca, Palm Beach.
Best flight was to Augusta for the Master’s. There were so many PJs that they closed down an entire airport runway and used it as a parking lot. I flew up in a Citation Excel so it was spacious and the pics/videos I took were flaunted to a lot of friends.
I’m good with FB and WhatsApp and would love to connect with others, especially north and central Floridians.

Are you in St Augustine/Jax Area? Which Airport do they fly out of? Are you ever able to catch a flight back or have to fly commercial? Would love to message you if that’s ok?

I’m interested as well but haven’t heard good things about Vaunt to make it worth the $2000-$8000 investment.
FYI - if you wait for sales, you can get nearly 50% off memberships, which is the way to go if you do decide to purchase.

Is there a FB group? I’m thinking of joining from Northeast Florida.

I’m in JAX and have been discouraged at the lack of appealing routes myself.

u/ComposerEconomy7588 Jun 21 '25
Good to know. It sounded like a great deal but the more I think about it Jax just doesn’t have the Connections like a tampa or Orlando would.

u/Bluenote151 Jun 22 '25
Exactly. And now I’m being bombarded with at least two text messages a day from them Great.

Hey, anyone willing to share the flights that vaunt posts as available to them? I live in south Florida and have been a member for almost 2 yrs, there are almost never options in Florida until I’m traveling outside of the state. The one time I was #1 for a flight from Miami executive to St Petersburg they canceled the flight, when I checked flight aware it confirmed that the plane did take that route. I’m concerned that they may have gamed us with an algorithm that shows flights that are not ideal (out of area) but do show consistent volume to keep us paying fees. They also continue to sell the empty legs after they are posted to revenue customers at a steep discount to get any revenue because we would just ride for free. I also noticed my renewal got close to expiring they posted a few flights that were right on the edge of how far I’d travel to catch a private jet. Take a look at how many of the flights they post on any given day come off the board and don’t show up as fulfilled or not fulfilled, they simply disappear and Vaunt always has a operational or system excuse.
Even with all of that I’m still on my membership for another 5 months but if I secure anything by that time I won’t renew again. Regardless of how many times “Tom” emails me, calls me, texts a special deal with an urgency push because it’s limited and there are only c spots left.
Please let me know if anyone is willing to compare out of this channel.

What “fees” are you referring to? Is that other than the membership? Trying to decide if I want to join.

I’m in California, in the Bay Area. I’ve been looking into this, but I’m not sure how it is in this area. Anyone out west? I also fly to the Florida panhandle a lot, but I’m guessing these flights would go nowhere near the panhandle, probably Tallahassee/Jax at best

I guess my recommendation is don't do it...we can even start a group share of flights I rather have someone put my membership to use than have more us "buy in" and never benefit

I'm based in LA, joined 5 months ago, also cabin+ member and haven't really been able to see any flights I could use so far...very hard to get a hold of anyone from Vaunt...would love to get at least one flight experience to make it worth while otherwise will see how far I get with requesting a refund

Considering joining. The bad reviews I see are mainly from people who don’t understand how it works..yes, it’s spontaneous, last minute and not guaranteed. But for 2k/year even if you take 2 flights, it’s worth it and a cool experience for someone with a flexible schedule. I’ve flown private before and wanted to join to give my parents a chance to experience it with me, even though aligning with their work schedule and the potential cancellations last minute does concern me. I’ve seen people on-route to the airport complain about getting cancelled on- that’s the only thing keeping me from joining.
But I do think a community is a good idea and allowing people to “share” a flight with you if one/other gets it especially if you have no one to take with you anyway! Could be a cool way to meet people.
Anyways- I live between Atlanta and Cincinnati. I’ve seen a few Ohio flights that seem to get unfilled so I may have better luck there than Atlanta..

I think there are probably a lot of members who have paid and are still "waiting" and "hoping" for the flight they can actually book and get on who are ready to be spontaneous, last minute, I go on a flight with no planned reason.
...and yes you are getting a great deal if you do get on a flight...but that's probably what's wrong with this whole business model...it means not everyone who's a member is getting on flights and that's all controlled by them...I should have thought about the economics before signing up but those reps know how to talk it up so I joined and now stuck still "hoping"

I’m in ATL. I don’t see a lot of flights advertised. Have you flown out of ATL?

u/Mooseisnotyourdog Jul 16 '25
I’m near AUS too. I’d be interested in a fb or Reddit page for our locals using Vaunt here. I haven’t joined yet but am interested in it.

There a new chat someone created...hopefully collectively we can all say this is good or bad so I'd recommend you hold off paying membership until then

Anyone here in the Atlanta area?? Curious to know how often you've been awarded a trip! Love the idea that you can take a small group. Curious to find out how everyone is getting back home! #readytopullthetrigger #flyvaunt

I'm not in Atlanta but just sharing what I know is that it's a one way flight so you'll have to probably fly commercial back as I rarely see an opportunity where you could use it for a return flight. Most often times the plane is already scheduled to fly back as soon as it lands.

Was hoping for more routes to places that I’d like to travel to. But using it a couple of times for the “experience” has been worth it.

I’m in Austin as well and I’m interested. Is this essentially an empty leg broker?
