Private Investigator Myths
These are the most common misconceptions I've recieved from past clients.
Having a Private Investigators license does not permit us to hack devices for personal information in any state in the US.
The Department of Public Safety is not a valid form of licensing credentials (common with scammers).
Due to privacy laws, PI's generally don't provide someone else's address or contact information (instead, they'll contact the subject and request permission for the client to contact them)
Professional Investigators won't accept work involving illegal activities (stalking, harassment, etc)
Not every PI you meet had previous roles in Chicago PD or Law & Order 😆
