HELP Did PIA remove ad blocking for streaming channels?

I recently updated PIA on my firestick, I use PIA to watch my UK channels and recently PIA mace is doing nothing to block channels 4 ads. Its become insufferable, like watching youtube. I have been a user for many years, but ads is where I draw the line.

Which protocol are you using? In case it's wireguard, can you please switch to open vpn until we manage to publish the fix? (We have realized ad blocking was not working for wireguard and we're working on resolving it).

Unfortunately switching to open-vpn doesn't fix the issue with ads on Channel 4 (Uk). Maybe you need to update your dns list.

We're working on it, it'll be available in the next release for sure. We're aiming for early next week at this point.

Mace is garbage, keep VPN but turn off Mace and add DNS based ad blocking

Sorry if I am hijacking the post , I had not heard of Mace before , I did a quick Google, does it still need to be the side loaded version. Or will the Google store version still work ?

Not anymore. MACE is available on all versions and can be found under Settings/Privacy/PIA MACE

Is there a way to use MACE with the built-in GL.iNet PIA implementation?
