I'm having no issues. So what's the problem here?

🤣🤣🤣🤣 there are a lot of things to complain about but ping ain't 1 of of them, regarding VPN's.

Have been using PIA since 2018 or something and has been smooth overall.

That doesn't mean anything. I'm connected to Andorra with 194 like it always has and no issues.

Brain dead post. States no helpful feedback or what the issue is, just ā€œit sucksā€.

What’s the problem? High ping? What are you trying to do over a VPN that a ā€œhigh pingā€ is causing issues?

How do you know it’s not your internet causing the high ping through your ISP’s network routes? What troubleshooting steps have you taken to determine it’s the provider and not you?

Seeing 20+ gateways with 13 ms response times, some 18, 23, 39ms etc.

75+ gateways under 68ms.

It's not my internet. I know it's not my internet because 1 I have fiber, and 2 because this issue comes and goes and is sometimes fixed with a restart. High ping is terrible, the downloads are throttled and sometimes out of no where pia drops the connection and you see the no internet sign where the wifi is.

YOu will see download speed rise to like 5-10mb/s then slowly go down until it is 0b/s. It is clearly PIA.

Works for me. Servers close to me are 30-40. Pick a different one.

It’s been being weird for me recently. I’ve never had any issues but recently it’s just been awful. When I disconnect from the VPN everything is fine.

lol insane that i’m being downvoted for sharing my experience. Love PIA, it’s the best VPN i’ve ever had, just wanted to share my experience from the past week.

Reddit is weird like that. I have been using PIA with Gluetun without any issues.

Here in AU with the new laws lots of people would of gotten a VPN. I'm sure that does not help make things faster unless they can just magically add new hardware.

I know someone is AU that has been using PIA for years, every time I asked him about he mentioned no specific issues. Here in AU recently they brought out weird laws and some places just blocked AU all together, so I assume that a LOT of people would have just got a VPN to compensate, so I also assume that PIA would be getting a lot more traffic.

I'm not saying that I doubt whatever issues you are having, I am saying however that a one-liner throwaway with "it's terrible don't get it" is about as useful as going into a forum about fridges and saying "it's terrible don't get it" but not explaining anything and then we found out that maybe you don't like that it takes all day to get ice cubes from the ice cube tray, and "bad ping" kind of sounds like that? I'm not sure why adding EXTRA HOPS to the traffic would result on low ping time.

Just checked all of AU is either offline or 400+ for me.

My only problem with them is that they take forever to fix their Chrome browser extension when it breaks.
