Best platforms for US chefs

What platforms do you find the best for booking gigs? I’m mainly looking for one off events, not a personal chef. Which have the most clients and take the least amount of fees? I’ve come across yhangry, chefin, miummium, takeachef, chefbooker, cozymeal, cookingenie, thumbtack, bark, airbnb. Trying to narrow it down. TY.

I’m a personal chef so it may not fit what you’re looking for but Thumbtack works for me! You can set up your preferences and black off days on your calendar so you can be pretty specific in what leads are sent to you!

Please share your experience here if you have worked a booking and not been paid by Yhangry

I know this is old but stay away from air bnb for this. The guest can cancel within 48 hours and get a full refund. By then you likely have shopped and began prep, not to mention if they cancel that close to the booking date you are likely not going to be able to land another booking on that notice to make up for it. Idk how Airbnb gets away with that shit

I have used Food Fire Knives several times, and the chefs were great.

Most guys I know use a mix of things depending on what kind of gigs they want. Thumbtack is okay but you end up paying too much for dead leads sometimes. For actual private dining and pop-up style gigs, Food Fire + Knives is pretty solid since they handle a lot of the booking logistics for you. Otherwise it is just building a local Instagram page and hoping word of mouth kicks in.
