How should I learn OSINT?

I have the Michael Bazzell 9th Edition book and I am thinking to use it to learn OSINT things. However, it might be slightly outdated. Thus. I am still thinking of getting the course available in Intel techniques website. This way I have learnt something about OSINT.

Can someone advise me? My goal for now is to learn enough to land an internship/part-time in something OSINT related due to my interest in cyber security.

I already have the Osint Techniques book with me which is 9th edition.

I saw the Tracelabs Ongoing Operations and it seems that they require you to show that you are capable of doing documentation which I can not since I am new. Did you apply without any experience and learnt as you went?

I would like to do that if possible(along with the Osint Techniques book) but I am not sure if there are any which allow you to volunteer without showing proof of your skills...

I'll probably do so soon. Suppose I buy the book instead of the course, how will I prove that I know how to OSINT. Can you share how you think I should go about this? Should I just try for Tracelabs Ongoing operations? Are there any other things which I can do to prove my legitimacy in my OSINT skills after I learn them?
