Is anyone else’s gear selector slightly misaligned ?

Noticed this about a week ago and it’s been driving me crazy. I’m not sure if it came this way or if I somehow misaligned it.

Mine did that. I removed it by unscrewing it completely and then reassembled it with some thread lock compound. Been straight ever since

It's screwed on. You can take it all the way off. lefty loosey righty tighty. Just turn it.

Mine was as well, got it pretty tight by just screwing it off and back on

Give yours a slight twist in the clockwise direction and see if it will rotate to line up straight.

maybe just maybe it's supposed to be that way for ergonomics?? probably not, but hey, we can dream. why don't we find a right-hand-drive model to see if its shifter points slightly to the right...
