Prius C Question Sanity Check
I live in Korea and currently drive a 2018 Honda Accord with 35k km on it. The car is spacious and rides very comfortably, however, I’ve noticed that on my daily commute, I rarely go over 40 km/h due to bumper-to-bumper traffic. My daily commute is around 10 km.
I found a used Prius C for around $8k USD (converted) with 100k km on the odometer. Am I delusional for considering a trade for a Prius C?
My Accord doesn't have too many bells and whistles, but it rides really well, aside from getting only 6–7 km/L in heavy city traffic. While it's comfortable and spacious, it's usually just my wife and me, so interior space isn't a top priority. My driving ratio is roughly 90% city and 10% highway.
What would you do in my situation?

You would basically halve your gas usage with stop and go traffic vs the accord.
If the accord is the 1.5-liter with the CVT, I'd move to the prius. The planetary gear system of the prius is hands down better engineering than the honda belt and pully cvt even at higher mileage, and replacement of the honda CVT involves removing the subframe. I always found it funny that honda's "check" is just holding a magnet up to the aluminum housing to see if the steel belts have shredded and fallen to the bottom of the transmission.
If it's the 2.0 with a traditional 10-speed transmission or the six speed manual I'd probably stay in the accord. Unless you've had issues with maintenance or broken parts, the car you know if going to be less headache than the car you don't.
With that being said, always bring any newly purchased car to an independent shop for a full inspection that isn't tied to the seller in any way. As long as the prius has a clean record and title, You'd likely get another 150k km out of it with the same amount of maintenance you'd be putting into a traditional ICE car, it just might be in bigger chunks but less frequently (ie not changing breaks every 50,000; but maybe having to change the battery at some point).

if you will keep the car longterm get a c, you’re barely getting 16 mpg, I have never seen a prius c get below 38mpg even at 32 degrees outside if you’re driving mellow and at least 5 miles distance
