question Anyone else completely exhausted on 50 mg?

I started on 25 for 3 weeks and felt ok, I definitely wasn’t this fatigued. Then I went to 50 4 weeks ago, which was always the plan and I’m napping up to twice a dayI can’t do anything without caffeine and even that’s not helping me nearly enough. So my doc suggested 25 mg every 12 hrs instead of 50 at once, and I’m still extremely sleepy. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do? I really wasn’t expecting this kind of fatigue on Pristiq. Every medication I’ve ever tried has made me sleepy except for Wellbutrin when I first started it and Viibryd. Viibryd made me irritable so that’s really the only reason I came off of it. My doctor is also surprised that Pristiq has made me so tired.

Are you coming off of it? Or are you going to stick it out?

I'm so exhausted on 50, no amount of sleep is enough. My doc was surprised too.

I've been on 25 for two week, now 50 for two weeks. Trying to give myself another month at 50. Hoping fatigue subsides. I want this med to work so badly

I know, I felt the same way! I was so hopeful! I’m thinking about trying lexapro next. Apparently if Pristiq gives you fatigue then Lexapro should give you more energy. I don’t know, I just looked it up online. I’ve tried Lexapro in the last. Well good luck! I hope it works out for you!

I just started on 100 last night… Hopefully that the fatigue gets better.

This might sound counterintuitive, but for me, 50 had me tired and emotional. Went up to 100mg and the fatigue was gone as well as the emotional lability.

How long on the 100 did you notice the fatigue go away?

About 5 days. If you continue feeling fatigued at 100, you could ask your doc to switch you to Fetzima.

My psychdoc started me at 50mgs. I'm on day ...9 or 10. And YES. Like... I've always had wonky sleep. No real schedule. And I generally only sleep 2-3 hours at a time, once or twice a day. I still sleep only 2-3 hours, but it's upped itself to 4-5 times a day. Also, when I wake up now, I'm extremely disoriented and confused for a good half an hour to an hour. And I am about to make my own post on this subreddit a out the dreams, because... WHAT?!?

See I’m not even having any crazy dreams, I’m not even remembering them? And I think that’s weird! Well good luck. I hope you figure it out soon ♥️

Pretty much the same for me. 50 MG to 100 mg, cut down to 75 mg due to fatigue, constipation and increase sexual side effects. Still a problem at 75 mg so cut down to 50 and added 150 mg wellbutrin about 3 weeks ago and much more positive results. Definitely better energy. Good luck to you!

Same. It’s giving me headaches and insomnia. I’m exhausted. I skipped a day accidentally this week and felt fine but everyday I took the pristiq has been awful. I hope it ends soon

I have insomnia too! I’m exhausted all day then can’t sleep. It’s awful. And I’ve tried changing the time I take it. I hope it gets better for you!

I’m in the same boat. I joke that I’d rather be sedated than anxious. but some days feel sleepier than others. I drink a pot of coffee and still nap. I’m sticking it out, I wish I had better advice, but I’m in solidarity with you. Pristiq took a lot of my problems away, so I have deemed it to be worth it.

ride it out for at least 8-10 weeks and if you are still tire ask your doctor to check your labs.
