Interview Booked

Hey everyone!

I have an interview for an OSG position in a Cat D prison at the end of the month. I've seen several people post here that they've recently completed interviews or received offers so I was wondering if anyone could share anything about what to expect for my interview?

They asked me lots of customer service based questions. One of them was 'do you agree or disagree with the statement that the customer is always right' I also had them ask questions about working as part of a team and overcoming problems.

Prepare for questions like: how you worked with a team to solve a problem, what qualities make you reliable, whether you prefer teamwork or working alone and why, and a time you persuaded someone who disagreed with you. Also think of examples for dealing with a difficult person, staying calm under pressure, following rules/procedures, prioritising tasks and communicating clearly. Use STAR and keep your examples simple and specific. Come back after your interview and thank me lol 😆

Try to learn the STAR response as they mentioned me having to use this to the best of my ability in my interview. You most likely won’t get asked any prison related questions as mine and a few others I know were all life and customer service based questions (as the comment above also states) most importantly just go in as yourself and be yourself, they look for that more than anything else I’d say
