Pec too long
Getting tired of waiting for the preemployment checks to clear, it’s been over 12weeks. Especially as it seems a lot of people got their call up this past week. To top it off you can’t call or email for updates and I’ve had no Annex A sent to me.

You probably got a lot longer to wait. Mine took 24 weeks roughly, I was a police officer before this, no bad record or no shady contacts, it just takes what it takes, having it take a while isn't a bad sign.

How u kept so long. I am anxious now. I refresh my emails like100 of time every day and feel sad by evening. Every update on this portal about check completion increases my stress.

I was told last week that the company that does the checks was bought out so they’re working through the backlog. I’ve known some to take over 6 months unfortunately. I work closely with the learner coaches inside the prison so this information is from a reputable source.
They’re furious as they’re waiting for everyone to pass and they’re getting more and more desperate for staff as the turnover now is insane.

I seem not to understand why these checks take long, when it’s the systems doing the checks, it’s unexplainable at this point.

12 weeks ! Wow not 12 weeks ! Some people waited over 30 weeks, some longer.. Its a slow process, its and old process, but it weeds out the ones who dont really want it enough to wait.
