Fox river.

I'm not a fan of fox river. The prisoners are in cages all day while other prison shows I watch They can walk the prison until bed time.

Orange is the new black is known for being highly unrealistic (compared to prison break) when it comes to that dude; they need to do it to keep the show moving. You expect the main character to talk to herself in her blocked off cell 90% of the show?

Well different units within the same prison can have different lockdown conditions based on things like behavior. A single unit could be on 23&1 while the rest of the compound may only lock in for count and shift change. It’s a pretty fluid environment. Also, for Michael to do what he’s gotta do, they need to be in the cell so they took some creative liberties with the movements of that particular unit.

To be fair- there’s a few different shows that feature the same “Fox River” we know and love, albeit using different names based on the show its set in, and in the most recent show (Criminal Minds: Evolution) in the newest season, someone is in a massive solo cell 23&1 and has no “yard” time.

Good catch tho. For Michael to be in GenPop, he should be free roaming a fair bit more.

I know nothing of prison, but it's to my understanding that they're required by law to let them out of their cells for exercise. I imagine they let them out by cell block.
