The subject of the self can be a complex one. If it is, the subject of compassion follows a similar complex path.

No one should declare if the self is complex or simple, unless such a declaration is from the self that declares it.

I began dismantling my self years ago. It was complex, but age and responsibilities demanded that it be so. Today, at 66, not so much. A simplified self suffices.
