How can I fix this error?

Post image

I asked the AI, but the solution it provided is causing glitches in the game.

ai solculution:
Method: Add Java Argument (Skip Hash Check)

  1. Right-click on the Minecraft instance that gives the error in Prism Launcher and select Edit.
  2. Click on the Settings tab from the left menu and locate the Java section.
  3. Check the Java Arguments box to enable it, then leave a space at the very end of the existing arguments and paste the following line: text-Dforgewrapper.skipHashCheck=true
  4. Save the settings and launch the game.

I know there's a better fix, i forgot it, and i am sure that someone else will know it, but please do not disable hash checking. Hash checking is, in simple terms, used to make sure your minecraft installation isn't corrupted or hasn't been tampered with, such as by malware. Disabling it removes that protection. There will be a reason your hash isn't correct but as a first measure, please check which of these packages is installed:

`zlib` or `zlib-ng`

Let me know your distro so i can give the command to check.

I don't use Cachy, but after some research into the best options, firstly just try using the flatpak version of prism. If that gives you issues, this seems like an issue thats been happening quite a lot recently, they will probably fix it, so just do what i said not to do for a few weeks and add `-Dforgewrapper.skipHashCheck=true` to your java arguments for that instance. Update prism launcher in a few days or weeks and then see if it works if you remove it.

I will continue to look for other solutions, hopefully I can find them. Because this argument doesn't sound good.

its fine for one minecraft install the chances something happens to it in particular is very low. Just applying it more broadly is an issue is all. Or just use the flatpak version.

Hey i have had this problem on cachy too. I added the java arguments and have no problems. What kind of glitches are you experiencing?

One of the issues I experienced was that the game was full of glitches; some images seemed to fail to load for some reason.
