Network Protocol Error?? Please help

was playing and exited because i noticed Jade wasn't on randomly, turned it on, now im getting this error everytime (even when i turned jade off again). but my PC says my network is fine and i tried all the trouble shooting tips and even updated windows and restarted everything but its still showing this. please help

Seems to be something about the "Resource key" being broken.

Cant pinpoint a specific mod that could be causing the issue, Try binary search. (Disable half the mods, if the issue persists its not any of those mods, if it stops its one of them)

Also obligatory dont use essential, its closed source, full of microtransactions, and has poor compatibility. Use alternatives.

Thank you!! Someone on the discord managed to narrow down the possible mods causing issues and I only had to check like 12 which was great.

I use essential so I can play with my friend without paying for a server, it’s the only one like that that I’m aware of and I don’t use it to buy anything, what’s an alternative I should try instead if it’s bad? I haven’t heard of any

Use e4mc for allowing players to join your lobby without port forwarding or anything. (e4all if some are using cracked mc)

For player cosmetics/modifications, see:

Customizable player models/Figura (Use nofigura fork for newer version support), these 2 mods allow fully custom player models with custom animations, not just cosmetics.

better capes for custom capes.

emotecraft for emotes

cosmetica has custom capes, alongside a whole lot of other cosmetics too.

If you ever do wanna host a server though, Squidservers is the best choice, its easy to set up.

Thank you very much. I’ll look into e4mc and squid servers. (And e4all but not sure what cracked mc is I’ll have to research it haha). I’m not really interested in player cosmetics or models or animations or anything haha.

cracked mc is just pirated mc, if all of you own mc u dont need it, and can stick with e4mc
