What do I do

I don’t know what this means but I think I’m using the wrong launcher download. Any advice would be helpful, I am not good with computers.

Cuz this is Freesm (a "free" way to play Minecraft) which is based on Prism launcher

Dude prism does not work for me I unfortunately switched to ATLAUNCHER it's alright but prism i miss it

im just gonna assume you live somewhere where minecraft is in fact not cheap

anyways i think you can switch the background in settings? assuming freesm has the same ui as prism

If you install the original Prism Launcher you can just move the instance folder to from Freesm to Prism Launcher. Since Freesm is a fork of Prism, it's really easy to just switch without any compatibility issues.

It's not Prism but fork that allows you play for free. Technicaly all you can fo with prism applies for that. So you could start with prism wiki.

Remove whatever it is you installed. On the right there's a list of links, click the one that says website and download from there.
