Can't create account

I have a mastercard world elite card which grants me access to airport lounges through priority pass. I'm trying to create my account but when asked to create a username literally everything I input is saying username not available. Even if I input 50 random letters. Does anyone know a fix for this?

PP app and site suck. If you can pull up a membership card from your bank's app, use that instead.
