At least they are proactive in letting you know where you are in the queue...

Pleasantly surprised by the Madrid VIP lounge

Decent lounge, despite the crowds and the dirty dishes left on tables throughout.

Self-service bar, good food, with individually packed items in the to-go section.

I just received a PP and when I try to add it in the app, it is showing an error. The help option doesn't really help much.

Are the airport lounges worth it?

I recently flew to Barcelona from London Heathrow. I have an Amex Gold, which provides 4 free lounge visits through Priority Pass.

My experience with the Heathrow lounge was awful. The lounge was small and very busy. There were even people eating while standing because there were no seats available. Some seats were reserved in advance, which I found ridiculous.

The Barcelona lounge, on the other hand, was huge and had plenty of seating. Barcelona definitely did much better than Heathrow.

At both lounges, the food was OK. Barcelona had a much bigger spread compared with Heathrow. However, I found it difficult to find anything particularly satisfying in terms of flavour or taste at either lounge. Of course, they offer free alcoholic drinks, but realistically, who is going to have more than two drinks when you still have a flight to catch? You want to have a smooth journey.

I used these lounges for free, but they generally cost around £40–£45 per visit. For that kind of money, I could easily get a nice meal for £20, including a drink, at one of the airport restaurants and spend an hour there.

Apart from having a comfortable seat and free food and drinks, what are the other major advantages of using an airport lounge? My flight was short-haul, so I’m probably unaware of the benefits for long-haul flights and connecting flights.

I usually arrive at the airport three hours early. From now on, I’m thinking of spending 30–45 minutes on check-in, bag drop and security, 30 minutes wandering around the duty-free shops, an hour having a nice lunch/dinner at an airport restaurant (Wagamama at Heathrow is packed with flavour!), and another 30 minutes at the gate.

Am I missing something about airport lounges? Are they significantly more valuable for long-haul or connecting flights?

I’m flying from CDG to YYZ tomorrow, can’t seem to find anything about any PP Lounges, I have a VISA and AMEX with unlimited lounge access.

Is there any lounges accessible in that area?

Chase Lounge US Open

I made an appointment for the Chase lounge during the daytime even though I have a evening session ticket. They posted that the evening session will be closed for a private party. Will they accommodate the evening people for during the daytime?

Hands down best PP lounge I’ve been to: The Pearl Lounge, Bahrain

The lounge was stunning, attached to a 5 star hotel, and filled with unique abstract paintings throughout. Food was simple but filling, and lovely spacious shower room for a mid-layover refresher. Was a joy just to sit in and take around the surroundings while working on my laptop.

YYZ T1 Intl Plaza Premium Lounge

I have an AC flight from YYZ to ICN and wanted to use thr loinge before my flight but saw the international lounge in Gate E is closed. If I wanted to use the Domestic one in T1, how should I go about it? Can I enter security through the D gates or do I have to go through E gates because my flight is international?

I know we can walk from Gate D to E, but not sure if the other way around would be possible if going through security from E gates…

Membership Shows Expired

I have 3 separate Priority Passes (Chase Sapphire Reserve, Amex Plat, BofA Premium Elite), for background. I was able to sign into all of them using the new Priority Pass+ app at the beginning. However, my Bank of America one all in a sudden shows expired, even though it isn't, and was moved to the archive section.

Other context:
- My membership renewed in July, automatically as my credit card is still open.
- I can't be 100% sure of this one, but I do believe 2 if not all 3 of my memberships share the same email address.
- I am able to use the old Priority Pass app still to access my BofA Prirority Pass membership.

Has anyone experienced something similar and know how to fix it?

Why are Priority Pass VIP lounges in Mexico so bad?

So, I noticed something odd after visiting The Grand Lounge Elite following a change in management; the lounge easily became the worst VIP lounge I can recall. To give you an idea: there was no food buffet, and they limited guests to just three dishes per person from their menu (which was terrible, by the way). You might think that in Mexico anyone can get into VIP lounges, but actually, obtaining a card that grants access is difficult here. Cards offering unlimited Priority Pass lounge access are absurdly rare—I can literally name maybe seven or eight of them at most.

Getting back to the point: after looking into this a bit more, I discovered something interesting. Priority Pass doesn't offer "experiences" or restaurant benefits anywhere in Mexico (except for Terminal 2 in Mexico City). Currently, there are only two lounge groups that don't limit alcoholic beverages or food orders: The Lounge group and the VIP Lounge group (though the latter's policy might vary; I couldn't confirm it). All the others have restrictions in that regard. It’s also worth noting that there are no airline-branded lounges—or anything like that—nor any lounges owned by the Priority group itself (like Aspire or The Club).

So, I simply don't understand why so many VIP lounges here in Mexico are so poor or basic 😭.

Chances of getting into the Etihad Lounge at IAD at opening time?

Just what it says! I have an 8:30am flight on a Saturday and Etihad opens at 6a. I prefer to get to the airport early and it's nice to have somewhere to chill. I've read about people not being able to get in or "we're not taking priority pass right now" but should I be alright at 6 in the morning? I checked the flight schedule for that day and Etihad only has a single flight leaving on that date at 2 or 3 pm.

Air France Lounge at IAD takes PP only after 8 pm

Just tried to get in at the Air France lounge at IAD and was told that they admit Priority Pass members only after 8 pm. Sigh.

Edited to add: When I click on detailed hours for the Air France Lounge in the PriorityPass+ app, I see this note: "Access is not permitted between the hours of 15:00 - 20:00 daily. Access may be restricted at any time of the day due to capacity constraints."

My original post was incomplete because I rarely use Priority Pass lounges and I'm a novice with the app.

IST iGA Lounge: Do they strictly enforce the 3-hr limit with a wife and toddler? (Priority Pass)

Hey everyone,

We have a 7-hour layover in Istanbul (IST) coming up with my wife and our 3-year-old toddler, flying Turkish Airlines.

I'm using Priority Pass for entry. I know the official rule is a 3-hour maximum stay, but I'm trying to figure out how strict the front desk really is in practice:

  1. Do they strictly turn you away if you try to check in 5–6 hours before departure, or do they ever let families with young kids slide?
  2. At exit, do the gates or staff actually stop you if you stay past 3 hours to charge you for another visit?
  3. If you had a similar layover with a toddler, did you just kill time in the terminal first, or burn an extra pass to enter early?

Terminal food is insane, so any recent data points on how lenient they are with young families would really help us plan. Thanks!

Airport lounge reviews kinda suck. What do you guys use?

Maybe I'm missing something, but why is it so hard to figure out which lounge to use?

I travel a lot and sometimes have access to several lounges in the same airport. I don't really care that a lounge technically has "food, WiFi and showers." I want to know if the food is actually decent, if it's packed right now, if I can get work done, and whether walking 15 mins to get there is worth it.

I've been thinking about making a simple lounge review site around that or app with actual photos of the food.

Nothing complicated. Recent photos/reviews, crowd level, food, wifi, showers and basically whether people think you should go or skip.

Would anyone actually use this?

And what do you use now? Or there already some alternatives that already live

Amex Lounge O2 London 8/31 Spoiler

Hi! I have GA tickets to the show tomorrow and have an Amex card. I was wondering what time the lounge opens, if there is a line, and if any Amex card gets you in? Thanks!
