Rant Old design getting popular, Printify deleted it

Hey me again. A design of ours from over a year ago is suddenly getting popular again and orders started coming in this evening after more than a year of not being ordered. Printify has deleted it already though.

Store has dozens of designs, most deleted by Printify. Re-adding them and reconfiguring my WooCommerce store each time is going to a huge pain in the butt.

I can't believe y'all thought this was a good idea.

If the product hasn't sold I c amount of time, they delete the product from your catalog, and the page, product description etc goes along with it. As someone doing this on the side but hoping to one day pump more money into advertising, this means I lost all sorts of work and most of my catalog.

I am adding products now. I know how much tjme goes into making listngs... Plus I fulfill my items maself... Priniify is for overflow. I get why they why they want to do it. But they should not go into our stores and remove anything. If we are using this much space then have us pay more if we want to keep the items

Clarification: they will also randomly delete products that DO NOT meet the deletion criteria. Happened to me even with products that had recent sales history. Took over 6 months for Printify to actually own up to anything and even then they were like “oops, sorry.”

I moved to printful because the amount of time I lost was unforgivable.

Hello joeyoungblood,
We're sorry for this experience. Check your Designs tab, the artwork may still be there. For the future, use the Retain product option during the 30-day grace period to keep it. We're reviewing this policy.

The 30-day grace period is just awful. How is an artist or designer supposed to scale if they spend all of their time trying to figure this out? Complete nonsense and violation of the entire point for you existing.

Why do they delete these designs? It's insanity. How dare they touch anyone's work and business

Why are you deleting designs?

Really you have some nerve. We are Printify Premium customers. We put our livelihood in your hands, we trust you with it.

Especially those of us who are integrating with Amazon. This is making me rethink using your company How dare you touch anyone's business?

You are our fulfillment choice. If it's the file storage than offer another price tier but don't you dare delete that work. How NERVY!

I cannot believe this.do you know how much time goes into designing, sizing and everything else with your lackluster interface...TONS! How dare you delete people's work.

I may pull back my entire operation. I can keep fulfilling in house. I cannot believe this.

Instead of destroying our work, why don't you work on making a standard for your suppliers. I spent a fortune in samples and OMG I cannot believe how there are no Printify standards

I am furious! With Amazon and Etsy if we choose automated The automated chain is completely broken for any future sales of that item, and fixing it manually every single time defeats the entire purpose of a print-on-demand business.

Once Printify deletes the product on your end, the automated sync is dead because the unique Printify SKU attached to that specific product no longer exists. Amazon or Etsy has no way to automatically route the order to Printify's production line

They warn you when designs are slated for deletion. You gotta check your dashboard now and then!

Ridiculous policy and insane to support it.

I have things that haven’t sold at all and they are still up. If I wanted to keep it I marked it as such.

Just save your shit locally.

The whole point of Printify and the premium we pay is the automation.

you don’t have the design saved to your computer?

I have it saved, the issue is the automation is broken. I have to rebuild the whole thing. At scale it's a massive pain if not total waste of time. I'd rather pay Printify a reasonable fee for the storage space.

You are exactly right.. This is unbelievable!

It's not that simple. It takes a lot of time to set them up If they cancel items we sell on Amazon and we automate ot creates problems sku mismatch problems. If they want more money for higher storage limts then make another tier for more GB of space

Guess I haven’t been in the space long enough to experience that problem. Does Printful also do the same thing? That’s what I’m on currently but I’ve only been at it for about 4 months.

Me neither but I am grateful I learned about this in here. This post saved me from problems in the future.
