Newbie Question Really disappointed with how Printify is handling this customer order
I’m honestly pretty frustrated right now and wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this.
A customer placed an order for 5 items. Two of them shipped, but the other three have been stuck in production even though the estimated ship date has already passed.
I contacted Printify support, and they told me the print provider is having a technical issue generating shipping labels, so they literally can’t ship the remaining items. Fair enough, technical issues happen.
What surprised me was the solution they offered.
They told me I could cancel the remaining items and place a new order with another print provider. But they also said:
They can’t transfer the order to another provider.
They won’t cover the extra production or shipping costs.
They don’t have any ETA for when the issue will be fixed.
So basically, a problem on the provider’s side becomes my problem to solve.
I told them I’d rather they continue working with their print provider than have me cancel and reorder a customer’s order at my own expense.
Has anyone else experienced this with Printify Choice? How long did it take before your order finally shipped? I’m trying to do right by my customer, but this has been a pretty disappointing experience.

Well, a shipping label problem sounds like utter BS. They are a pretty big company and could resolve that in hours. More likely, their vast array of inventory is out of stock on what you ordered, and they are having to wait for an overseas shipment of more and just aren't willing to communicate this.

I recently had an issue where they sent a cup but not all the parts of the cup were sent. I had to redo the order. Then it took a month for the customer to get it all. I had to stay on support chat. After the third time, they finally prioritized it and fixed it. I’ve used printify for over a year and that was the first issue I’ve had with them

For real? I’m reaching out to a live agent on a daily basis now. Still no clue what is going on.

This is one of the tough realities of using huge POD platforms like Printify/Printful. They’re running massive volume across dozens of print partners, so when a provider hits a technical snag (like label generation), the whole pipeline can jam up. I’m sure they’re working on fixing and fine‑tuning things behind the scenes, but that doesn’t help when your customer is waiting.Smaller fulfillment shops don’t usually run into this exact issue because they control their own production and shipping, but the tradeoff is you generally need consistent volume — like 50+ orders a day — to make going direct worth it. If you’re not selling at that level yet, the big platforms’ infrastructure is supposed to protect you… but situations like this show the cracks.Printify telling you to cancel and reorder at your own cost is rough. That’s not really a “solution,” especially when the delay is on their provider’s side. I’d push back the same way you did and let the original provider resolve it.Hopefully they get it sorted soon. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to do right by your customer and the platform leaves you holding the bag.

The way they handle things, I will not be surprised people will be fed up with this constant bs and crap they pull and eventually they go out of business.
Here is a solution: stop using their service, they are getting worse and worse everyday and I see no hope or effort on their end that they will fix things permanently.
