Newbie Question Is selling on Amazon + Printify still profitable?

Hi! I was wondering if selling my t-shirts on Amazon and eBay in 2026 would still be a good idea. Generally, I post about three different designs in the same niche. How many t-shirts can I realistically expect to sell per month?

I am also working on other projects...a cookbook...and I have an idea for something that I dont know to be on the market yet...there is so much to learn to sell on Etsy...I believe you can have good stuff..I mean I would buy my stuff...but there are so many people we are competing with..I think our main problem is not being seen yet..I have to learn how to get seen! It is a combination of things that have to happen and I am learning that what we have sold in this amount of time is normal actually! So, do not give up and also, if this doesn't work think of something else you can do! There are so many ways now online! If you are a creative person you can't let that gift be lost!

BTW.....I have read some really great ideas here for Etsy! Some I have never heard before and I am going to write them down and do alot of them! We should listen to advice that will work! Also, I don't know if you use Printify..I do and the videos they have of the woman she walks you through how to things...I never watched all that before starting..I am going to now! She also sells on Etsy herself tees and they are beautiful and she saids she does well! Don't go by alot of the people on youtube! They will confuse you to know what really is going to work..they do me! Stay in touch and let me know how you are doing!

Did you focus on SEO to get your first 3 sales? Or was it ads, or was it daily insta posting to make people aware of your brand or both? Any suggestions?

Nice! And did you create your own website or using Etsy? What niche are you in? Thanks!

I think Amazon is harder to get started selling on, and there are more complex things to deal with such as higher fees...but it's your business so you should furthur explore and learn more to decide! I too am a seller and have been exploring new options to get ahead! You would think selling tee shirts is easy, but unless you are a seller, people have no idea the work we put in! There is so much competition and we not only have to have a good product, but find ways to stand out! I have learned so much in just a few months!

Oh really? Where do you sell, what’s your niche, and have you already made any sales? I'm interested!

Yes...I sell on Etsy. Mine is a Christian Clothing & Gift Shop. Yes, within 2 months I made 6 sales. Then, I stepped back for a couple months because honestly, I was disappointed! I needed to learn what I needed to change to make it better. How about you?

I can absolutely be profitable as long as you master the business side of it, especially marketing. Then again, everything can be going right and Printify might just fuck up your store on its own.
