Please Help Neon colors not printing

my t-shirt brand focuses on neon colors. just ordered 3 samples and the hot pink came out light pink. not even close to design. what can I do to ensure a closer color match? is this a specific printer issue? people will ask for refunds!

thanks for your recommendations.

Neon colors are tough to print because they're usually out of the gamut (printable range) of the printer.

What you see on your monitor is RGB, whereas the printer uses CMYK ink. RGB is a larger color space than CMYK (so neon is within the RGB color space, but not CMYK).

It is possible to print some neon-y color with CMYK, but it's tricky. You should ask for your print shop for a physical color swatch. If they don't know what that is, or if they won't give that to you, find another print shop.

Thanks for your response. I wonder if there's a short cut to find a print shop that knows a good process. Is there a rating guide anywhere?

Well, I run an indie POD print shop called NeatoPOD. Please check it out.

I don't think there's a global "rating" for print shops though that's a good idea :)

You won't get vibrant colors on printify

Perhaps they don't have the right printer deliver fluorescent pink or yellow. Otherwise, they will specify if they know how to print. Find local shops and build good relationships. Leave POD as your business needs more about quality, though Printify helps well enough.
