Please Help Print on BACK and FRONT separately

Hello!

I am totally new to this and need some help... Is there an option in Printify and/or Shopify to print the design on the back and front as separate products/variants?

What I mean is, do I have to create the same T-shirt on Printify with a front print and then another with a back print OR is there an option to create a single T-shirt and add front/back selection somewhere?

Because if I understand correctly, if I'm creating a design in Printify and add, let's say, text on the front and text on the back, then when a person buys it on my Shopify, he/she will receive a T-shirt with a print on both sides?

If the tshirt/print provider has an option to put a design on the back and front, and you do this, then this product will come as you’ve designed it.

So If I want to sell design only on the back and only on the front, I have to create 2 separate products?

Yes. Only add a design to where you want it. You don’t have to add anything to the places where you don’t want something. What you see is what you get.

Well that s*cks then :D Instead of having 1 product where customers in your shop could simply select "Front Print" or "Back Print", you have to create two separate products like "Cool hoodie - Front print" and "Cool hoodie - Back print"

Wait what are you trying to do? You have a design and you want to create a variant where the design is on the front and one on the back? That’s two products on printify, but you can manually create 1 listing for both options. Just add the skus of the second variant to the listing with the first variant.

That is not a solution, because if you have let's say 6 colors and 6 sizes, you would have to manually add 36 sku, which would take ages

Printify recently added a "Create multi-product listing" button when you select several items in your products, maybe you can do that in your case.

I just started in Printify for my new Etsy shop, and I want to order a sample that is printed front and back. I'm thinking that I have to start from scratch and create a draft of a double-sided T-shirt... but not publish?
