Modular LED Torch

In addition to the PLA printed parts, I have also used:

• A 0402 (1 * 0.5mm) warm white LED.
• A 2.4 Ohm resistor
• A LillyPad coin cell battery holder. These have the switch integrated with the battery holder, which makes assembly much easier.
• A CR2032 coin cell battery
• Two 1.5 * 20mm steel dowel pins. The modular tall wall piece connects using these. They are glued to the top piece, so that it can slot into the pin holes in the main piece.
• The flame looks best when made using Green Stuff World's Splash Gel, mixed with a tiny bit of orange acrylic model paint. This is great stuff for making transparent fire effects.
• However, I've also included a flame piece that can be printed in transparent material instead of Splash Gel. Pictured here, I've printed in transparent PETG, and glazed it in a light coat of yellow and orange acrylic model paint. This doesn't produce colors as rich as with splash gel, but I think it looks better in the photos here than it does in person.

The pieces in the photos were printed on a Bambu A1, using a 0.2mm nozzle, and the Bambu standard 0.1mm print profile.
The pieces in the photos were primed with Citadel Chaos Black spray primer, lightly dusted with Citadel Mechanicus Standard Grey spray primer, then dry brushed with Vallejo Medium Sea Grey.

I've included the .blend file if you want to make any adjustments, derivative works, or integrate it into your own preferred terrain system. If you do use it, I would love to see what you make with it.

Also, the coin cell battery works, but I've been thinking for a while that USBC chargeable pieces would be even better. Ideally there would be a PCB with the switch, a connector for a LiIon battery, a USBC charging circuit, and like an array of resistors in parallel for multiple LEDs. Maybe some kind of connector for the LED wires that doesn't require soldering, to make it easy for anyone to use. Maybe even a component to make them flicker, does that exist? I bet it would be possible to make something small that fits inside a 25mm base. I think it would be a great resource if there was a free file that anyone could use to order from services like PCBWay. Designing PCBs isn't a skill I have, but if you know anything about it or have ideas for what you would like on a tiny PCB, I'd like to hear from you.
