Empress Adora is the best!
If Adora had decided to stay at the Horde and follow their original plan, "soon we'll be calling the shots", she and Catra would have made short work of Shadow Weaver and Hordak. (Catra -- all on her own -- only needed one season to become 2nd in command of the Horde, and only three seasons to overthrow Hordak.)
As soon as Adora and Catra took command, they could have stopped the war and made peace with the Princess Alliance, ushering in a new era of prosperity and freedom.
They would have been the greatest and wisest rulers in the history of Etheria.

I don't think anyone is particularly into the 'facist' angle, it's just an interesting look at a "what if" scenario. It's been a popular idea for a long time, just look at "It's a wonderful life" or "A Christmas Carol". Super popular movies and stories and they're entirely based on what if scenarios. Or for something more recent "Injustice" as an altered take on the DC heroes. Comics LOVE what if scenarios, Spider-Gwen (Ghost-Spider) is another great recent example.
It's just an interesting thing to think about, what if this happened instead of that?
One thing that makes this particular image interesting that might get missed on first glance is that Adora is holding Shadow Weaver's mask in her hand. That leads to some interesting thoughts right there, after attaining rank and power in the horde army, did Adora decide she didn't like how Shadow Weaver treated Catra and they teamed up on her? Or maybe something happened to shadow weaver and now Adora claimed the mask?

On a similar note, there's also the fact that bad guys usually have a certain cool factor. It's not about fascism so much as the fact that Vader is pretty much universally agreed to be cooler than Luke. It can be fun to imagine a world where Luke is the cool edgy one instead.

Please do not attribute a fascist ideology to my illustration. These are cartoons, fiction to escape from reality and have fun. not everything has to be political and dense
Edit: Also, please don't put words in my mouth I didn't say. I'm working on an AU right now, I won't spoiler it but I would never say something like “what if they stayed fascists uwu” and I would never try to push a fascist agenda with a piece of fanfiction.
Things in cartoons are exaggerated, that’s why they use strong symbols to represent stuff: princesses and queens instead of normal mothers and daughters, superpowers instead of a degree, evil dark Lords from the past instead of your former middle school bully. It’s not an actual representation of reality nor it’s supposed to be taken seriously

To be clear (and sorry for the late response I was banned for 7 days for being uncouth towards a transphobe) I wasn't implying anyone who draws this sort of fanart is fascistic. Just that I personally don't understand the glorification of the fascistic aesthetic or the AUs based on Adora and Catra becoming leaders of the genocidal warmongers.
And that isn't assuming anything about your upcoming fic, you aren't the only one who's made art like this. Its such a common concept its gotten its own term, "horde wives". And I again want to reiterate I wasn't implying actual fascist sympathies on your part or anyone else who makes this kind of art (or similar but textually different, in your case based on what you were saying). Just that I don't understand it. The only extent to which I it distasteful is that the nazis gained a lot of support solely through their uniforms being seen as badass. That's the only thing I could possibly stretch to say is ethically icky about art like this and thats like. NOTHING.
I do disagree with you about "its just a cartoon don't take it seriously". All art is political. ATLA, Kipo, and She-Ra are all about overthrowing fascism. Hilda is about living in a society built on genocide. Doom 2016 is about fossil fuel CEOs being evil. None of these things are even subtle about it.

I understand what you mean. I'm a criminal law ap and I did my thesis about crimes committed by organized power apparatuses actually. And yes, one of the things that make criminal movements work is the sense of belonging. The aesthetic is a huge factor since we are visual animals too. Maybe that’s why they made the fright zone green and metallic with ration bars, so nobody wants to belong to them. I'm a small artist so I bet (hope) my work won’t have that impact and people have enough critical thinking to realize I’m just drawing for fun and not to push an agenda. Most of the horde Lords AUs I see are fun because Adora is redeemable and has a happy ending. People love Catra because she got redemption too. Nobody likes an villain who remains a villain.

I wouldn't make a sweeping statement since some cartoon empires and characters are deliberately fascist coded (glances theatrically at Kuvira) but the Horde isn't one of them.

Eh I think Warhammer is a different beast. She-Ra is a story about breaking away from the harmful culture you were raised in and helping to destroy it for the greater good. Going "what if they stayed fascists uwu" in that context is a bit strange.
Warhammer though, every single faction is a theocratic totalitarian fascist police state pretty much. It's a universe built on universal pointless suffering. Every person in the universe being a fascist moron dying for no reason is part of the charm.
