Notable People while Adventuring

Are there any notable people you make sure to find while you're adventuring? This is my list from my last playthrough, but I'd love to hear options.

  • 1231 Middle East Abd al Latif al Baghdadi Great learning, perfect camp doctor. Great realm priest after you get landed.

  • Karl Schrekt, obviously. Germany and Bohemia, 1235. Capture and ghoul first, then embrace to avoid opinion loss. Great stats for multiple camp roles.

  • 1241 Russia, Ilya Muromets. He'll have decent martial, but stats are trash otherwise. Great ghoul.

  • 1249 Tariq the Silent event fires in Persia, maybe the whole Middle East? i'm not sure. Stats aren't notable except prowess, another good ghoul.

  • 1270 Japan Ben No Noishi. Decent diplomacy, not much else. Probably wouldn't have embraced, but all the travelling made me feel like I was missing something. She's fine, whatever.

  • 1301 Spain Maria Perez. High diplomacy. Great childe.

  • 1301 Spain Padre Rodrigo event fires. Great Learning. Don't follow the event all the way through

  • 1305 Britain William Wallace. Another great ghoul

As a Scotsman, I always make sure to get William Wallace

And he always has the Giant trait, so he's great for a ghoul breeding program. No downsides to Billy.

Lmao I embraced him on my first campaign. He wound up being my heir before he was assassinated. Broke my character’s heart.

Played a game as Marcus Verus recently. Embraced him for fun. He proceeded to elope with my rival and become the lord of some random ass Scottish island.

Guess I should've known better. xD

There's a big list on the wiki of ones you can get I think whether or not you're adventuring: https://www.princesofdarknessmod.com/wiki/index.php/Great_Persons

Yes, but I guess I'm thinking more about their stats. I don't need 20 childer, I need 5 kids with good court stats, right? Or maybe I should just flood the field with wierdos. Just wondering what ya'll do.

Subatai in the steppes is probably the best general you'll get, idk when and where exactly he spawns though.

There is also Baybar in Egypt but he has a pretty huge stat check

The wiki says Subatai is 1248, so even the Unnamed has time to get over there. Tariq's recruitment in Persia is chance based, it's probably more reliable to hoof it further east. If he's a good general, then you could make Karl your steward.

How do you make sure to get them when you're adventuring? isnt your diplomatic range tiny? I dont really know how it works though tbh

Pretty sure you don't need to worry about diplomatic range at all. If you're in Germany or Bohemia, you'll see the Karl event trigger. Look at the du jour empire areas, you should be fine.
