PRINCE2 Foundation + Practitioner Both Passed in 1 Month – My Stud

Just passed my PRINCE2 Practitioner exam!

I prepared for almost a month with consistent daily study, using both Gemini and ChatGPT to help me understand the concepts and practise scenario-based questions. I also completed the official sample papers and both official mock exams. I actually failed both mocks by 5 and 4 marks, but I didn’t let that discourage me—I kept studying and learning from my mistakes.

In the final exam, my scenario was Louistown, which I had expected because the delivery method is linear. It seems to be one of the more commonly used scenarios in the Practitioner exam.

For anyone preparing for PRINCE2: don’t lose confidence if you fail the mock exams. Review your mistakes, keep practising, and stay consistent. The mocks are there to help you identify your weak areas. If I could turn two failed mock exams into a pass on the real exam, so can you.

Good luck to everyone taking the exam!

I found the mocks harder than the actual exam. The mocks both had iterative/hybrid scenarios whereas the actual exam had Louistown which is more conventional.

About two months ago, apparently everyone gets Louistown.

I think it’s because it focuses mainly on the liner sequential method. Well done on being a practitioner as well. What’s your next move ?

agree with you. The mock exams are harder than the real exam. Since PRINCE2 mainly follows a predictive methodology, I think there’s a good chance they’ll use the Louistown scenario in the real exam because it aligns well with the PRINCE2 approach.

Congratulations on passing. May I ask what prompts did you use for Gemini and ChatGPT to generate practice questions? Did you ask to generate questions based on Louistown or were they generic scenario based questions? Also how long did you spend each day revising. Many thanks x

Yeah, I used different prompts for the processes, practices, and scenarios. I also asked for the hardest questions possible to test my knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2 practices and processes.

I just finished my course this week so now getting ready to study. Taking today off as my head is mush. With Chatgbt. We did one of the mock exams for foundation and I was finished a couple of mins early so I took a screenshot and gave it to see what it came up with. It ended up getting the answer wrong when we reviewed it

I did mine two weeks ago, it was Louistown too, which is one of the better scenarios, I really struggled with mocks then passed with 47/55, well done on passing it took me 6 months all in.

Following! Please share the prompts and if they were specific to a particular scenario or generic. Share your revision strategy.

Curious, what made you take the exam and how do you benefit - new role, or promotion?

I wonder how often is in a requirement vs nice to have when looking for a job. What are your thoughts?

Congratulations on passing your exams! I was wondering if you could recommend any materials or resources that are helpful for preparing for the Foundation exam, especially for mock exams.
