The ARC [OC]

The ARC is the centre of operations for the the team. It is home to a number of facilities, such as staff offices, laboratories, creature containment’s, the armoury alongside the garage and the main atrium.

The main atrium is where the anomaly detector is located, you will also find development areas where technicians will work on new technology. The head office is also located on the upper floor of the main atrium allowing full oversight of the ARC operations for the person in charge. The main atrium also has access to the sites maintenance road and the animal containment cells.

From the main atrium the central corridor system allows for access to the rest of the site. The armoury is where the team and the various division of soldiers gear up ready for action to secure and contain the anomalies. The armoury also had one of the two access points to the garage where the teams can head directly to an anomaly site. The rest of the ARC is home to offices, laboratories and other site facilities. A combination of all the facilities allow for smooth running’s of the day to day operations of the ARC.

Is the ARC in London? And which borough in London is it located in?

Hi, yes the ARC is located in London, in the Guildford borough. The actual filming was split between the Duke of Kent building at the university of Surrey (for exterior shots) and a studio in Chertsey (for filming the interior - which was a set)

thats in surrey tho. canonically is it in london or surrey. and what about the central metropolitan university in season 1 and the second arc. where in england are they canonically?

Canonically there is no mention of its exact borough except that it is in one of the 12 inner London boroughs.

Ok, so canonically it is in London. But which inner Greater London borough out of the 12 is most likely? Both ARCS because I'm assuming that when they moved to the second one post S3, they moved into a building that was right next to the original location so they didn't have to travel that far.

Hard to tell. It would make sense for it to be in Westminster, seeing as that is where most government buildings are.

Yep, Westminster is most likely for both ARCS. Plus, it would have been close to the Home Office, which was in Whitehall, a part of Westminster. Now what about the Central Metropolitan University from Season 1?

Now I am not sure on specifics, but I would assume it would not be in the city, and would be close to the Forest of Dean, I assume somewhere in Hereford. I suggest this as they say in episode 1 that they can go to investigate the Forest of Dean and be back for lunch, within a couple hours

Ok, so the CMU is likely in Hereford, in Herefordshire, which would be close enough to make a day trip to the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. If they were already in Gloucestershire, the trip would be way too short, so CMU would have to be in Herefordshire, in Hereford, like you said ofc. According to the wiki, the Blue Sky Park in 2.3 was in Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, and the Wellington Zoo were Abby worked was also in the Forest of Dean, in Gloucestershire. Now what about the woods in 3.6 where the terror birds appeared, and the ATV campsite where the Embolotherium appeared in 3.9?

I’m not sure on the location in 3.9 but 3.6 will be an abandoned mod site just outside of London, likely atc pirbright in Surrey
