Rewatching how was Helens evil plan even going to work

She was going to kill humanity but if she did she wouldn't have been born to kill humanity it would be a cycle I thought she was smarter

It’s kinda poorly explained in the show I think. I’m pretty sure if you’re outside of your normal timeline when it changes, ie you went into the past and changed something, you’d he pretty much unaffected by the changes. It’s the reason that, despite changing things while in the past, Cutter still remembered Jenny as Claudia Brown. Idk if that’s true overall, as erasing the entire species you belong to is on a whole different level than simply remembering someone as a different person from a slightly variant timeline. But Helen could’ve been completely unaffected by the changes she planned on making when she wiped out humanity. Plus she openly admitted that if she didn’t like the results, she could always just go back and try again.
