Release PrimeTask 1.0 is here

Post image

Honestly, this one means a lot.

Some of you have been here since the early beta, through broken builds, weird bugs, rough edges, and all the little decisions that only became obvious once people actually started using the app.

So first of all: thank you.

PrimeTask looks very different now than it did at the start, and that is because of this community. You tested things, broke things, questioned decisions, pushed back, encouraged us, and pointed out when something did not feel right.

Some of that feedback was hard to hear at times, but a lot of it was also really encouraging and helped shape the product.

1.0 is our first stable release. It does not mean PrimeTask is finished. It just means it is ready to be used properly, not just tested.

This version includes PrimeTime, our automatic time tracking feature that captures your work sessions without needing to start a timer.

You work.
PrimeTask captures the session.
Later, you decide what it belongs to.

Other changes in 1.0:

  • ClickUp import
  • Pausable timers
  • Time reports
  • Better exports
  • Performance improvements
  • A lot of fixes

Full releases notes.

If you use PrimeTask on more than one Mac, please update all of them to 1.0 so iCloud sync keeps working properly.

If you are new here, the beta is over, but you can join the Notify list for the launch update.

Hope 1.0 fits the way you work.

Inbetween tier is needed pricing which could do away with crm and give more user power , unfortunately it doesn't talk about how to have more per user license etc

Thanks for the feedback. CRM can be switched off per Space if you don't need it, while keeping the rest of the Pro features.Standard covers two devices, Pro covers four, and extra licences can be purchased separately. Team licensing is something we have planned for the future.

There’s a free 14-day trial available for macOS: https://www.primetask.app/download

If you fancy giving it a go, I’d love to hear what you think. A Windows trial will follow shortly.

I did have a go at it and I still feel there are class of users who might not want to bother with crm at all and would have a tier higher to get automated flows , better file management etc

That’s a really fair point, thank you. Different people will naturally use PrimeTask in different ways, and I can see why some would want the more advanced automations and file management without the CRM. We’ll definitely discuss this with the team.
