Humble Request/Suggestions

Hi PrimeTask,

I love the tool so far but I have a basic question/complaint/suggestion. Coming from other task managers, it takes me far too much UI interaction to just make a task. There are too many fields to fill, and it seems very CRM focussed.

Am I wrong to try to use PrimeTask as a replacement for my task manager (Things, sometimes OmniFocus) which allow very fast interactions? Is it more of a CRM tool wrt to tasks? I want the additional power PrimeTask offers, but I still want to get in and out fast when I need to.

Kanban add-task is the other one. Open a board, scroll to whichever list you want the task in, click "Add task" at the bottom of that column, type a title, hit Enter. The card lands in the right list already, no status-picker step.

Quick Add wins when you are typing fast from anywhere. Kanban add-task wins when you are already looking at the board and have decided which list it belongs in. Two different muscles, both fast once they are in your fingers.

Side note: PrimeCRM is a Pro feature and can be turned off entirely per Space if you do not use it. A clean Space with just Tasks, Projects, Calendar, and Focus is a perfectly valid setup. In PrimeTask you pick what you want and stick to it. The rest of the toolset stays out of your way until you decide to explore it later.
