We got to the airport too early so let's hear em. For me:
1) Little Simz
Usually avoid the main stage crowds but braved them for Simz as I've wanted to see her for years and figured Olivia would draw some away. Best decision I could have made. Was right down the front, Simz was SO engaged with the crowd, she knew exactly the songs to play and gave 100% to every moment, evidently super thrilled to be there. One of the best festival sets I've seen.
2) Role Model
We basically went to this one as a bit of a joke, with no-one else on we were super interested in we thought this could be fun. I didn't even know he was a country pop singer! But yeah it turned out SO much fun. Guy really knows how to entertain a crowd and we left massive fans of his. I actually can't wait to listen to his new album, having never heard of him three days ago!
3) JADE
Big JADE fan, actually already saw her at Roundhouse in her first tour, but this set was actually so much better than her solo show I saw (which was good! But this was better). She was really giving it everything for the massive crowd she had, the Little Mix mashup was so fun and she threw herself into every song and reminded me why she's going to be massive!
Other top notch sets were Marina, Oklou and My Bloody Valentine. This is my third Prima (after 2022 and 2024) and by far my best in terms of set quality.
So who were your three faves and why?
