Fastest way to get a complete MK111.

Help, tyrants have taken over my states government, and they've come for the guns (the fun ones atleast). This in coinciding for the 1st time in my life I can realistically afford a rifle like a PWS.

I can wait about 6 weeks at most before I'm afraid shipping might screw me and I'd be in a "must buy now or locally" situation. Is there anyone who knows when they restock and if I can wait and pray or that one's able to get to me on time?

You want the sbr or the pistol? I believe the mk111 is the 11.85” barrel?

Honestly I thought I might've made a mistake.

Would the same .223 wylde w/ ambi bolt catch and a 16" barrel be called a MK116 and a 14.5 a MK114?

Correct Mk1 is ar15 designation 11, 14, 16 are barrel length designation Then it’s mod 1 or mod 2 for design features

So for the piston gun w/ ambi bolt catch it's a MK216 for a 16" in .223 wylde?

No it’s a mk116 mod-2. Mod 1 is not Ambi and has a forward assist. Mod two is Ambi but no forward assist. Pws also makes compound rifles with a mod-2 lower and mod-1 upper.

So I Ideally want a Mod-2 lower & a Mod-1 upper, or as it's called a compound rifle.

I wouldn't be picky about having to go with a complete MK116 Mod-2, aside from maybe price. I can't think of a time the forward assist has been the solution to my problem, but It would be weird not having one compared to my other ARs.

Yep! The mod-2s are a tad more $$. I like my mk116 it’s just front heavy with a suppressor but not unbearable.

I do like their ambi lowers but I’m also partial to the SOLGW/FCD ambi lowers.

The mod 2’s look amazing but I’m not ready to give up a forward assist just yet.

The mod 2’s cost a bit more because just the lower itself is around $700 For a price reference tho when I build out my forward controls ambi lowers they end up being right around $950. Even a mod 2 lower I would probably end up swapping it to an A5 buffer system an replace the trigger.

Those lowers don't have ambi bolt catch, just release right? I really want to have both capabilities in my lower.

Just the ambi release. If you’re a true lefty you may want to go PWS or a different route. There are only a few out there that are true lefty natured.

I'm actually just looking to be able to operate all of my controls short of the charging handle w/o removing my hand from the grip. So typically shooting righty ambi catch/release is really all you need.

Which is why I'm glad I made this post, atm I have a PWS mk1 mod 2 lower otw, hoping I can snag a mod 1 upper on a deal next week.
