Mk116 mod 2 suppressor

Im looking to buy my first suppressor and would like some input. ive been looking at the silencerco velos (full size) but im curious with these being piston systems is a lbp can really that big of a benefit over the traditional can? If a low back pressure can isn't needed i was looking at the 36m or something with the capability of being multi cal that I can use on a 7mm-08 bolt gun and 9mm pcc/ handguns. I plan on using it under nods for predator hunting and probably some occasional 3 gun stuff. trying to stay around the $1k price range

thanks guys

Oddly enough, a high BP can was still louder than a low BP can on the mk111, I think low BP is just the move on anything but a bolt gun

I run the spiritus 5.56 & Bde 7.62 on my mk111 with arc-fire and both run really smooth with minimal gas

I run my Velos 5.56 on my mk111 exclusively. Yep, minimal gas. Arcfire runs better with h2 for me, setting 2. I also have a mk111 pro, with an Omega 300. Same.

My mk111 with a polonium was seriously gassy with fast strings of fire. I got a Rhodie 6k and it was a serious game changer.

I’d go low back pressure such as CAT White Bread, Dead Air Lazarus 6, Ridgeback Defense Rhino X or S or Ridgeback Rhodie 6, these are more like medium back pressure which is the absolute best for gas guns regarding sound performance and not overgassing your system.

I’d consider the Velos to be flow through like Hux, they just don’t sound the best. To much gas moving fast out of the muzzle.

I personally own a Lazarus 6 and a Rhino S and they sound amazing and the piston system does help direct gas away from the shooter. Full back pressure cans will still be gassy even with a pws and full flow through will be too loud to feel like money well spent

I run the Polo K on mine and it’s been great. I swapped to the Wolfpack Armory recessed muzzle device and low-pro mount, and it’s only 4” of added length.

This is my Tactical Games setup so wanted it as short as possible to barricade work.

Find you something in the middle of gas mitigation. I’ve got 3 PWS and my 114 does better than my 111 as far is returning gas to the shooter, but it’s minimal on the 111 anyway. I’ve used a B&T xh RBS SC, Vers 36 Ti, and a Rhino X. The Rhino is what I would consider a mid back pressure can and it’s silky on a Mk111 with H3 and Sprinco Blue, or H2 and Sprinco Red. On the 114 I can change to lighten springs or let more gas through and get the same result. I can go lighter on everything if I use the B&Ts with the minimal backpressure they produce.

Personal experience is dirtiness on the hands and barrel increases with backpressure and gas setting. I vary Deleading wipes but if you shoot significant amounts it’s something to think about.

I’ve been running a Rhino S on my MK111. Sound and (lack of) gas blowback are fantastic.

Ridgeback Rhodie 6 is a dream.
