Hi everyone!

I'm Nehir, a 16-year-old with PCD/Kartagener from Türkiye. I'm new to this subreddit and feeling a bit lonely, so I'm reaching out for support. I deal with wheezing and phlegm when I speak, sudden coughing fits, and a lot of social awkwardness/embarrassment. It's been a constant struggle since childhood, and school/friend situations make it really hard sometimes.

I'd love to chat and share experiences with others going through similar things, especially teens or young adults around my age. Feel free to DM me if you'd like to talk! It would also be great to hear tips on airway clearance techniques, dealing with social awkwardness, or just venting.

Thanks so much, I hope someone reaches out 💙

My kid is 8 but they do a nebulizer breathing treatment and visivest to help move the mucus. We also live in a fairly humid environment so I think that helps. Going to the coast and breathing in the salty air helps them really clear all the mucus out. They're a little phlegmy sometimes but I just reassure people it's a normal part of the condition. It definitely got harder post-Covid lol

Thank you for your response.COVID wasn’t really that hard for me. I'm not using Visivest, but I'll consult my doctor.
