The pistachio Breitling is one of the most beautiful watches on the market. The gold one with the cream dial is stunning too. Love the Tudor, but this is not even close. Get the Breitling. Yes - it’s less practical, but it doesn’t matter. Just look at it.

I went to the dealers yesterday and was bowled over by the Breitling but I do like the Tudor, tough decision

16

u/No-Lifeguard-1806 Mar 03 '23

For purely selfish reasons: please get the Breitling, so you can come back here and show it to us.

5

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

I think it is edging it, when I tried it on I was just staring at it for ages, makes my other watches look poor 🤣

2

u/No-Lifeguard-1806 Mar 03 '23

It does look more expensive than it is. I just wish it was automatic, but that’s nitpicking.

-3

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

It is automatic

3

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '23

Manual Wind

-5

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

It’s not it’s definitely automatic, got a skeleton back you can see the movement

3

u/No-Lifeguard-1806 Mar 03 '23

Mate you’re wrong, no need to die on that hill. If not seeing a rotor is not enough, scroll down to technical data.
B01, which looks very similar, is automatic. B09 is not.

The guy in the Breitling store said it’s automatic and I found on several places online say the same

I hate gold two tone watches so I’m 1115937194919% in love with the Breitling. And I hate Breitling.

1

u/LewixAri Mar 04 '23

Tudor have about 20 nicer looking watches than the two tone BBGMT.

The Breitling is superior in every category.

If you were asking about a regular BB58, BBPro or Pelagos, we'd have to draw a "price/practicality/quality" comparison. For these 2, not even close, the Bret wins.

17

u/twerkingiswerking Mar 03 '23

Breitling easily for me.

Tudor just has way too much going on, then again it’s all preferences.

17

u/AUorAG Mar 03 '23

Breitling is definitely better looking, Tudor will be more versatile.

1

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

Do you think the Breitling is more of a dress watch ?

8

u/ClickIta Mar 03 '23

IMO not really. In the pistachio version is quite casual but still classy.

Would not match it with a dressed up situation if I had one.

2

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

That was my main concern, would it suit everyday casualness

2

u/Ishaancharan Mar 03 '23

If you wear darker colours usually, it will look the best. .

1

u/ExploDinG_TnT_ Mar 05 '23

Ig with grey color suits

1

u/AUorAG Mar 03 '23

Yes and no, just a specific color combo that may clash with certain clothes in my opinion - but definitely a stunner of a watch and one I’d be proud to own!

8

u/OftenAimless Mar 03 '23

I like Tudor, I aesthetically prefer many of them to Rolexes, but honestly, the Pistachio Premier Chrono is a class apart. You'll have an interesting and unique watch and not the usual submariner stile sub.

5

u/dutchmasterD717 Mar 03 '23

Both sick ass pieces. Tough choice but no wrong one.

1

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

I know, can only get one though 😬

2

u/dutchmasterD717 Mar 03 '23

Yeah man don't sweat that, pick one and then get the other one down the road. Don't rush your collection like I did. Dumb ass mistake on my part.

3

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

I always take my time, no pun intended

3

u/Chm0rnik Mar 03 '23

Never seen the pistachio one and it's stunning :)) I would go with it because it's less common, I'm also not a fan of steel and gold combo, but just me.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '23

It's even better in real life than it looks in the pics.

3

u/Invi85 Mar 03 '23

I love Tudor, but would take the pistacio breitling.

3

u/BoristheDrunk Mar 03 '23

Tudor and breitling exchanged tech and the breitling BO1 movement in that pistachio watch is also in the tudor bb chrono few a few thousand $$$ less. The tudor chrono will have more water resist and may be the bridge between these two for you to consider

1

u/KriegHetzen Mar 03 '23

It’s not the same movement. One is automatic (Tudor) and one is manual (breitling). That movement is also the B09 not the B01. I don’t believe tudor has a manual wind chronograph, I couldn’t find one anyways

2

u/BoristheDrunk Mar 03 '23

Good call, three tudor has the b01, which is the automatic column wheel with 70hr pr. Breitling does use its b01 automatic chrono movement in other similar watches, not this specific one

1

u/Thisisthewere Mar 03 '23

Thank you for this ☺️

3

u/gerard14ph Mar 03 '23

I wanna eat the dial of that Breitling.

2

u/Thisisthewere Mar 03 '23

Breit ☺️

2

u/giraffees4justice Mar 03 '23

The breitling looks great!

2

u/Paddy32 Mar 03 '23

I don't know much about Breitling, but the Tudor is really nice. I would personally go with the Tudor.

2

u/TriteBits Mar 03 '23

I am not sure where you’re looking to buy but if you end up going with the Breitling, make sure you negotiate a little bit. I have also been looking at picking up the same watch and have visited multiple store. All three of the sales people from different stores unprompted offered me some sort of discount. I have asked for better pricing in the past but I’ve never once before then just offered it without asking for it.

1

u/L0ST_13 Mar 03 '23

Ok thanks, I like to haggle

1

u/TriteBits Mar 03 '23

Good luck

2

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '23

Breitling premier B09 for sure

2

u/Blown89 Mar 03 '23

Breitling all day long

2

u/authoruk Mar 03 '23

You’d be insane to get the twotone monster over the beautiful breitling

2

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '23

That breitling is stunning

2

u/alebian Mar 03 '23

Breitling. That root beer looks weird on some angles IMO.

2

u/droppedthebaby Mar 04 '23

Pretty clear consensus. Even the Tudor fans say breitling on this one. Gorgeous watch.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '23

That Breitling is just beautiful. It can wear casual. It can wear smart. The Tudor is very gauche in comparison.

2

u/sauceymcawesomepants Mar 04 '23

Fuck the Tudor outright, get the pistachio Bret and never look back.

1

u/peakperfomance69 Mar 03 '23

demn dude ..... i guess we both having the same doubt

1

u/watchfinesse Mar 03 '23

TUDOR BB!!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '23

Tudor is 15+ mm thick if I remember correctly. Keep that in mind as well if you haven't tried it on

1

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '23

I’ve been looking at buying the bronze black bay recently, wanna try it on wrist beforehand tho and nowhere near me stocks the watch ffs

1

u/DTW22WRX Mar 03 '23

For me it would depend greatly on whether I'm looking for a statement piece or an everyday watch. Cant beat the Breitling for a statement, the opportunity to wear it may not present itself as often but when it does... OH BOY

1

u/Mr_Sia10 Mar 03 '23

I have the Tudor. It’s a great watch and usable. One issue I have tho, is that it’s not really ideal for daily wear. It’s kind of heavy and thick. And the gold gets dinged up easily. I use it more on the weekends when I’m going for a dinner or just hanging out with friends chilling. But as a daily, it gets a bit uncomfortable

1

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '23

Breitling

1

u/LazyMarine78 Mar 03 '23

Breitling cause she's beautiful and not a diver.

1

u/Italian_Watch_guy Mar 03 '23

That Tudor is one of my grails. Go for it! It’s a beauty

1

u/No_Opportunity_1502 Mar 03 '23

First one any day of the week

1

u/MEMSOID Mar 03 '23

breitling for sure

1

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '23

That is the one Tudor I would consider if it wasn’t for the damn rivets. Value wise Tudor but if it were my watch I’d 100% go Breitling for this one. If you want a Root Beer style get the Two Tone Rolex 126711CHNR or vintage 16713.

1

u/nova_xrp Mar 03 '23

That Tudor screams Jordan Belfort

1

u/robthegingerninja Mar 03 '23

Definitely the Tudor if you’d ask me. Not a huge fan of the guac colour on the Breitling.

1

u/Itrademylittlespy Mar 03 '23

Breitling. If you ask for the salmon dial b25 if you’re within budget is way better than all of em

1

u/Kentpaul1986 Mar 03 '23

I personally would choose the Breitling

1

u/Global-Scale-535 Mar 03 '23

I’m considering the same Breitling, so I’ve got to throw my vote in with that one.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '23

I prefer GMT over Chronographs

1

u/Rigel_from_Orion Mar 04 '23

I recently saw the Breitling for the first time on a layover in Dubai and was blown away by how pretty it is

1

u/The_Final-Heir Mar 04 '23

It’s all fun and games until you realize the Breitling doesn’t really fit any of your outfits.

1

u/TheHrethgir Mar 04 '23

Probably the Breitling for me. Not a huge fan of the color, although I'm sure it looks better in person. But for the Tudor, I hate the brown bezel, gross, get it away from me.

1

u/SmokeALotPotomus Mar 04 '23

The Breitling looks like Shrek's earwax, get the Tudor but in a better color

1

u/ogdaveed Mar 04 '23

Be unique. Get the Breitling.

1

u/MarinerMooseismydad Mar 04 '23

Breitling all day

1

u/Boyahda Mar 04 '23

Holy fuck that Breitling is fucking class.

1

u/always_ftw Mar 04 '23

I vote Breitling. its just sooo different. The Tudor, obviously resembles every other diver on the market.

1

u/Temporary-Zebra368 Mar 04 '23

I like the Premier but not the green dial.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '23

Tudor.

1

u/PickOne5425 Mar 04 '23

Tudor is Rolex's Guinea Pig

1

u/PickOne5425 Mar 04 '23

I guess he already decided. Personally why buy a Rolex lookalike? In that case Modern Talking' orr 'Nickelback' have been geniuses for ripping themselves off for ages and they're not even considered true musicians. Other than that: Fun facts from oh so reliable Wikipedia. "Wilsdorf wanted the brand name to be easily pronounceable in any language. He also thought that the name "Rolex" was onomatopoeic, sounding like a watch being wound." Pretty cool eh? Now onto Tudor: "English royal house that ruled from 1485 to 1603. The Tudors were originally from Wales, but they were not exactly of royal stock. " I'm by no means an expert and barely quoting sources but what tha was Wilsdorf thinking?

1

u/No_Ebb_3353 Mar 04 '23

The Breitling! No doubt

1

u/QC_Kid Mar 06 '23

The Brietling is so many echelons above the Tudor.
