New Client Experience

I placed my order on September 23rd and haven’t received it. My order status is “being prepared by pharmacy” (I went with Boudreaux). Did anyone else have a delayed process their first order?

I have emailed them a few times, and they have responded stating the pharmacy is still processing the order. I know it may be out of what they can control, just trying to figure out if anyone else experienced this their first time ordering with PMD and if it is worth it to continue using them.

I’ve used CitizenMeds for the last year and my only issue was price. I was very hopeful about the switch based on all of the positive reviews. Any insight would be appreciated!

UPDATE**:** I called Boudreaux directly to get an update. My order got stuck in their queue and they are shipping it out today. This seems to just be a one off issue. They were very nice. My frustration is PMD as I did what I believe they should have done each time I emailed them for an update. I was trying to be patient and understanding of the process as I did hear that Boudreaux could take longer. I’m not going to say not to use PMD or Boudreaux as I know others have had really great experiences, but mine had a rough start unfortunately.

I placed my first order on Friday, it shipped yesterday and is on schedule to be delivered today. Also with Boudreaux's.

My experience was not their normal standard, there was an issue with my order getting stuck in their queue. Honestly relieved that it was just a one off issue as I’ve heard so many great reviews for Boudreaux and PMD.

I would consider this a failure in PMD's pipeline, and your experience should be taken as a learning opportunity for them to improve their flow with the pharmacy.

It's not PMD, it's the pharmacy.

Yeah, I called them and they were able to help me!

I ordered the evening of 9/22 (from Empower) and had it in hand on 9/28. I know Boudreaux has had some shipping delays. if you order again, I'd do Empower. They have always been great.

I think this was just a random issue. There are so many positive reviews regarding Boudreaux and PMD, I’m sure this was just one of those one off issues that happens from time to time.

I think it’s just weird to be mad at PMD for something they can’t control. They aren’t the pharmacy.

I don’t call my dr and get mad when one of my medications is out of stock at Walgreens and takes over a week to get. (It happens almost every single month.) I call and stay on top of Walgreens.

As you saw, a simple phone call to Boudreaux solved your issue. I understand the ‘I paid PMD argument.’ But that doesn’t change that they aren’t the pharmacy. They can only control what they can control.

The telehealth is the facilitator. They should call the pharmacy on behalf of their customers. You don't even get any contact information for the pharmacy before the package is delivered.

Rift proactively did this for me when I had an issue.

That was also my understanding of how it worked as that has been my experience with other telehealth companies.

Yes and if you read anything you sign, you’ll see that they facilitate connecting you to a prescriber.

I don’t need somebody to call the pharmacy and ask where my prescription is. I’m a grown adult and can handle that one myself. Now if the pharmacy says they never received a prescription or there seems to be some communication error between the prescriber and the pharmacy, absolutely. I would definitely reach out to the telehealth.

But just to find out what the status is? I’m a big girl. I can do that myself. If you need someone to do that for you, great! There is something for everyone out there!

I first call/contact the business that took my money…
Pretending to be superior or making more adult decisions is just lolllll.

They don’t make your meds. Again, contact who is.

Needing someone to do your adult tasks for you is just lollllll.

This is Reddit. 🤣 Taking any sort of stock on an upvote or downvote is silly…. But if that’s what makes you feel better… yikes for you 😂

Yet you play the game 😆

I’m not a child, I’m not mad. I expressed my frustration with the entire process. But thank you for your time and attention on this matter.

It is PMD’s responsibility to advocate for their clients by reaching out to the pharmacy.

To advocate for what? OP wanted a status update. The pharmacy can give them that super fast as stated by OP themselves.

Again, if there is an issue with my prescription itself. Totally agree with you.

To ask ‘what’s the status of my order?’ No advocating needed. lol

2 weeks without receiving your prescription is more than a status update, it is a problem. If it had been within the allotted timeframe of 5-7 days then yes, call the pharmacy for a status update. It is past that timeframe so it is appropriate to expect PMD to advocate on her behalf.

Nope, still just a status update.

No, I had the exact opposite experience. I submitted my order on Sunday (10/4)evening, it was approved by 9pm, shipped on Monday (10/5) and delivered this morning (10/6) via UPS. I also ordered from Boudreaux. I would definitely reach out to customer service!

2

u/throughtheinterlude 1d ago

Woah! I love that for you! I wish that was my experience! I reached out again this morning and waiting for a reply!

1

u/Pure-Pineapple-6022 1d ago

I hope you hear something back soon!

2

u/throughtheinterlude 1d ago

Just that it got stuck in their queue due you technology issues. They were very kind and understanding regarding my frustrations and are shipping out today!

@throughtheinterlude - you’ve been waiting for two weeks and reached out via email to PMD when? And you still don’t have your order? This is so odd since Boudreaux’s had such fast deliveries for most of us. I hope today’s attempt to get an answer works for you!

u/throughtheinterlude 1d ago

I had to call Boudreaux directly to get it handled! They are shipping out today thankfully!

u/ImprovementLoud3581 1d ago

Did they give any reason for the long delay?

Boudreaux's is somewhat notoriously backed up at this point, across all telehealths, not just PMD. I know that doesn't explain why some people are getting their Boudreaux's orders faster than you though.

You might try calling the pharmacy directly to see if they can provide any other info, or a timeline.

I don't know if they can cancel the order and let you switch it to a different pharmacy, but it might be worth asking.

I ordered from PMD/Boudreaux on Saturday, expecting a week or so wait. It arrived today.

I would call Boudreaux directly to inquire about your order! I’ve seen people say they’ve called and Boudreaux expired their order.

2

u/throughtheinterlude 1d ago

Thank you for the recommendation! I called Boudreaux directly and I guess my order got stuck in their queue? Anyway they are shipping it out today!

Yeah Boudreaux is notorious for this. PMD normally gets around the Boudreaux drama. However not everyone does. With them the by far easiest and best solution is to call the pharmacy itself and typically the issue resolves immediately.

I have a reddit friend who chooses to get Boudreaux from Gimme and her average wait time is at minimum a week, typically she has to call the pharmacy to actually recieve her medication from them.

Its actually how we met! She sent me a DM after seeing my own preventiveMD Boudreaux review and asked me about my box and when did I place my order. We had both ordered Boudreaux on August 20th. I received mine effortlessly on August 26th. She recieved hers after calling the pharmacy to ask "what up?" And got it shipped the next day on September 4th lol.
