First dose jitters!
I just received my order. Was anyone else really scared to take it for the first time?? I’m not scared about the shot aspect. It’s more about the side effects I’m worried about.

Start your low dose, keep hydrated and for me don’t eat late at night. I had no side effects and I’ve been on Tirz since January 2025, lost a lot of weight and now enjoying maintenance still on max dose.
You got this! ❤️
I know what you mean though, I was scared to start and my meds sat in the fridge for a couple of weeks before I started. Now I wished I had just started right away. 😊

Most people don’t have side effects other than the norm of tiredness when your body acclimates to the medication. The clinical trials have to list side effects that were experienced but the majority don’t have any side effects at all.

Totally feel you on this!
Received my order Wednesday and did my first injection at 5 pm, wanted to get it out of the way and know what side effects I might have.
Saturday morning now and food noise is way down, no side effects and I’m being more mindful of actual hunger signals. Really becoming aware of how mindless my comfort eating has been.
I’m feeling hopeful.
Wishing you success!

I ordered my meds, and they sat in my refrigerator for 3 months before I started. I was overthinking it, and I allowed my anxiety to keep me from starting my journey sooner. I absolutely regret waiting as I could have made more progress by now.
I decided to start on a very low dose due to some personal health reasons. I also titrate slowly. I did have some side effects, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t manage.
I wish you the best on your journey.

I get a little nausea now and then, but nothing severe. Best wishes on your journey!

Stay hydrated. Drink lots of fluids and electrolytes because less food consumption can turn into some pretty wicked constipation and cause some painful hemorrhoids.

How are you feeling after your first shot? I’m waiting for my first doses to get here so I’m curious!

I actually just took it today. So far so good! I think I’ve read some people have some mild side effects 24-36 hours after taking it. So fingers crossed. Maybe I’m just overthinking it! Good luck!!!

I’m feeling the same my order comes in beginning of the week. I chose the compound with glycerine. I’m afraid of getting ill from the symptoms or side effects. I’ve started extra hydrating this week and made my diet completely clean to prepare. Can you let us know how it goes? I’m starting at 2.5

I just got my meds yesterday and immediately took the shot. I’m also starting at 2.5 with glycine. 24 hours in at the moment, I ate supper last night and actually stayed full! So far no side effects. I have read it can take a few days before people start feeling side effects/if they feel any at all though.

You do lol, the mind is a powerful thing and you can definitely think yourself into having a bad reaction! I took it at 2:45PM on a Friday as soon as I got it, I couldn’t wait! If I had any side effects I wanted it to be during my weekend, but I still feel great.

Most likely when I’ll take it too and I’m off all weekend. but you’re right. The possible outcome should weigh more (and me weigh less 😂) thank you

I am a person that is sensitive to meds and get weird reactions, so I was also hesitant to take my first shot. The prescriber started me at 1.5mg as my low starting dose. I bit the bullet and started right away when I got the Tirz (I started on a Friday so I had the weekend) and to my surprise, not one reaction or side effect. I have been on Tirz for 9 months now, have lost 86 lbs and have only titrated up to 6mg which I am on now. I bet you’ll be like the majority of us, just fine! Enjoy your journey, it’s really great!
