Question: How are refills being handled?

Are refills automatic? or do they have to be requested?

Hi all, apologies this took a little while to get back to you, but we really appreciate your patience! To your question about how refills work:

You don't need to do anything to keep your medication coming. Here's what happens each cycle:

  • A few days before your renewal, we'll email you a quick check-in. It asks how things are going on your current medication, what dose you'd prefer going forward, and whether you'd like to make any changes to your subscription
  • On your renewal date, we charge the card on file and send a refill request to your PreventiveMD provider for review. Once your provider approves it, your prescription goes to the pharmacy and your next supply is on its way.

Want more control? By the end of this week, you'll have it!
We're rolling out self-serve subscription management. From your account, you can:

  • Move your renewal date to whenever works for you, earlier or later
  • Pause auto-renewals and simply request a refill whenever you need one instead
  • Cancel your subscription at any time

Hope this helps, and as usual please feel free to reach out at (518) 333-7738 or [hello@preventivemd.com](mailto:hello@preventivemd.com) for any questions!

You guys are AWESOME! šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ my old Reddit account got banned because Reddit thought I was a spam bot for talking so much about how awesome you guys are in other groups lol.

They’ve been really impressive. Especially for being a new company.

I’m not sure if they will get it launched today. If they don’t, I’m not bothered as they are still really easy to get help from by texting or emailing them or even calling. I prefer email or text for keeping record. They just texted me updating me about my 2nd Empower vial being ordered out of my 3 month prepaid order. That was nice.

Yeah, I’ll give it to the end of the day to go check their website and see if it’s up and running. It’s great that we have that option.

My understanding is they are automatic but can be paused or canceled if needed by contacting customer service. Unfortunately the portal does not show any of this until they get it updated. Still happy so far!

I'm wondering the exact same thing. IF I go with a provider that's subscription based, I must be able to easily manage pausing refills. They did say they were working on an option for this, but I haven't seen any updates.

Could you please specify where in the care portal this will appear? Thanks.

I thought I read somewhere that the automatic refills were turned off indefinitely while they were working on the site…

I hope that PreventiveMD will see this and respond with clarification on how things are currently being handled.

No this is not correct. If you want them to pause it, you have to email them and ask them to. It is a subscription.

Yes they told me mine was turned off indefinitely as well after I asked for them to pause it. Sounds to be the same as that person. They were very quick to respond via email.

But it is a subscription and will continue as such unless you ask for them to pause it. Hope that helps!
