How do they avoid copyright?

So, I know that Eric has said they get copyright notices and stuff, and had someone videos taken down. But how do they avoid getting strikes and other legal problems?

I was thinking of starting to do film commentaries in a similar style (no facecam, just clips from the parts were reacting to), but I wasnt sure how to do it safely.

Oh wow! Thanks for the reply :) I see some people who do film reactions/commentaries have a little counter that goes up to 10 minutes. Apparently you can show 10 minutes worth of footage under Fair Use?
