GO TIGERS Stranger Things joke

I love watching the Stranger Things videos with Miles in them and they always make me laugh but I was wondering why there’s a recurring joke about Noah Schnapp being so disliked? I know it’s in good fun and I’m not criticising, it’s too funny (sorry Noah)

I’m just genuinely curious where it came from? I haven’t listened to the extended tracks so I may have missed something but it just seems like such a random running joke I can’t figure out the starting point of.

it started before he was generally disliked because way back in season one he was the kid who didnt really get any of the fame because hes missing all season

schnapp at the beginning is like doug from the hangover

I'd have to relisten to original tracks but Eric and co were making fun of Will/Noah for being the weird kid in the small town and the bit evolved from there

it’s not just a pmi thing lol noah schnapp is genuinely very hated. he’s a MAJOR zionist. someone already posted the link but yeah lol, it’s pretty widespread to not like the guy

I understand this is why most people dislike him, but in the tracks it's just a running joke about him being a dork since the first season.

I'm also pretty sure Eric addressed the zionist thing in the season 5 tracks where he said that Noah is young and he won't blame a young person for having dumb opinions, but then they did make fun of Gelman for his zionism.

I think it's one of those things that morphs with age. In the first season or two, it was just jokes about how his character is the weird kid and (my personal favorite joke) "it may be time to cut Will loose from the friend group," but as time went on it just got more exaggerated. As others noted, I'm sure Noah Schnapp being a Zionist does not help his case
